How crowded will this thing be? I assume it'd be worth it to get there early?

The Equipment Sale may not start until 10:30am but these folks didn't mind that. First person arrived at 2:30am!!!!

What happens is the first people go in, throw piles of stuff in boxes, then go to check out. Mostly for resale. They need to limit everything to 5 or less of each item. Most things are going to sell either way, that way more people at least have a chance to buy stuff.

I'm headed that way now. But why would Isu care who buys it as long as it gets bought?

Just tried getting in. The line for Cyclone club members is about 300 deep and they're not letting any more in. The line for non members is probably 500 deep (stretches back to the west emergence of JTS). I'm always up for a good deal, but my hatred for waiting in lines trumps it. Turning around and heading back to the tailgate.

Events like this are rarely well organized and often bring out the worst in people. People grabbing as much as they can and then throwing crap around is also very common. This kind of behavior really makes you think less of humanity.

I used to think that the equipment sale should be for current students only, but with ebay and craigslist they should just let the athletes keep the crap and donate the rest.

Rumor is that there are three cash lines and one(!) credit line. Guess where I'm standing right now?

Very p*ss poor managed. You don't get that great of deals vs the headaches & in general people acting like a**es. Walked in, walked out.. Not worth it

Pretty much everyone told you what to expect and you're still surprised. It's a large garage sale with stuff a lot of people really want. I don't know what you expected.

I didn't think things were too bad. Could have been a lot worse with that amount of people.

I completely knew what to expect. However,
2 cashiers..1 credit, 1 for cash, you'd thinked they would have had more help to check people out.

Yeah the people going crazy is to be expected, the lack of cashiers is a bit ridiculous.

Other than a rush for helmets and a long wait I was pleasantly surprised. Grabbed a McGee jersey and some sweatpants. Neither one did I need.

Felt kind of bad for the people who camped out as those with memberships just showed up 20 minutes before the doors opened and strolled right in. I was one of the first 20 in and the helmets are half gone by the time I got to them, the rest gone in the next minute. Crazy stuff.
