Speaking of taxes I sent our estimated (well MrsWx) estimated taxes for Q1. I am never not using quickbooks again. Hell of alot easier than trying to do it myself.

Male question. I have followed a "male rule" since I was in junior high. My friends and I did this. We would not wear two pieces of clothing from the same team unless attending an event for them. Like I can't wear an isu hat with an isu sweatshirt. I will sometimes wear an isu shirt under a pull over if Both won't be the seen.

My son started doing this on his own a couple years ago and my wife didn't understand. She would jump him about not matching. I finally stuck up for him after a couple times and said this a a boy thing. Is this something unique to my small area or do others do this?

For the farmers and farm kids among us...

The Freshman daughter went to my wife's classroom (across the street) after school yesterday. She was sitting at my wife's desk and doing homework when one of my wife's 8th grade students that had just gotten in trouble walked in. He saw my daughter and looked at my wife. This is the conversation that transpired:

Student: Mrs. JCyclonee, Who's that?
Mrs. JCyclonee: That's my daughter.
Student: How old is she?
Mrs. JCyclonee: 14
Student: Do you allow her to date?
Mrs. JCyclonee: Not you.
Student: Huh? What?

Way to go Mrs. JCyclonee!

I do informally follow this rule but do allow myself to wear a hat and shirt if I'm watching the game on TV in my house but not if I go somewhere else to watch it. I even agree with the t-shirt under the pullover rule.

My husband does this. Not 100% of the time, but most of the time. He will mix/match among ISU, Cardinals, Broncos, school colors/club volleyball team, and softball team. Usually it "matches" in that he isn't wearing an orange Broncos hat with a red ISU shirt. Or he will throw on a golf hat that somewhat matches the team shirt he has on.

Last softball game I went to I had on a team shirt under a team pullover with a team hat and a team colored scarf. So obviously I don't follow the rule.

I've seen pics of your daughter. I can't blame the kid for trying! ;)

I do this as well. I think it just looks dumb to be walking around with as many ISU things on as possible, unless it is gameday in Ames.

There is a Tavern Hawk at my wife's work who wears a hawkeye tracksuit to work on their casual days and it just looks so dumb.

Me neither. I'm more concerned about colors matching than teams NOT matching. Guys are weird. ;)

I'm having serious doubts about Button's motherly instincts. This morning when I came downstairs, Button was relaxing in the carpeted & heated cat mansion on the deck and came out when she heard me moving around. After I put out food & fresh water, I peeked inside the mansion. No kittens. Pretty sure the kittens are under the deck...being kept warm by leaves.

It's a cold, hard world. Better they learn young. That's just good parenting.

I love all the posts in the Cameron Lard thread about players not being 6'10". These are the kinds of sarcastic, inside jokes that make CF enjoyable.
