Eh. She may have overrated, but, as a former zoo volunteer, I can see her point. We had a walrus (and a "famous" one at that) die because I kid threw a pinecone in the enclosure and the walrus ate it. In controlled environments where the animal's diets are very strictly regulated, it can effect them differently than animals outside of those environments.

A walrus or other animal I could see. These goats in a petting zoo that are eating 50#s of those pellets a day, she was wigging out. Might have been 19-20 at oldest. You see kids almost jamming those pellets down their throats. I figure the paper was a little fiber and pushed it through. I had to go find another map, so I didn't feed it to it. Another guy was booted because he grabbed a goats horns and held them because he kept butting him and a kid around him, he was just trying to get the kid away. She thought he was beating on it.

Watched Lucy on HBO tonight. So so movie although entertaining enough for a boring Sunday night. And Scarlet Johansson. Love her voice but she needs to stop smoking before she ends up sounding like a diner waitress that has smoked for 40 years.

Not surprised, sadly. Elkhorn is a farm town. Beloit Memorial is the 'inner-city' school of Beloit.

I'll pick on Mpls now. Road rage shooting next to the Walker Art Center during evening commute time.

Hmmm, looks like all of the Wisconsin rules on sportsmanship in HS games didn't "trump" students from racist chants. Wow.

Just giving our Wisc folks a bad time since the HS cheers rules stuff got some talk here.

Depending on what else was said, that hardly rates as being terrible. Stuff way worse than that used to be said at the annual public vs. parochial school bb game in our area. Was it good sportsmanship ? No. These kids are kids. I'm sure that I'm the only one that made poor decisions, or said things when I was younger that I wouldn't say now. It's part of growing up and maturing.

I'm actually a little surprised they had fans at a spring soccer game. (I'll duck for cover now.)

Here's some road rage for you. Both ended up being arrested for various charges. The video doesn't show what led up to the madness. Here's the story that was printed after the arrests

At least you admit you're the original problem with these.

It said they were also using racial slurs. And while they shouldn't have their lives ruined, what they said was unacceptable and they should know better. So you punish them so they learn their lesson and move on. What you don't want to do is not punish them and send the signal that this type of behavior is acceptable.

yeah it was pretty clear when this was on the news the other night that there were racial slurs involved. That's not acceptable or excusable at any age.

woke up before my alarm went off this morning ready to go. That was odd, especially on a Monday. It's supposed to get so nice this week.

This happened recently at a BB game involving Dallas Center Grimes (I think) & Perry. Perry has industry that has attracted a number of Latino workers and their families to the area, DC-G is...less diverse than Perry. Shouts of "Trump 2016" were accompanied by "deport them all" chants (among others). Interestingly enough, other DC-G students were the ones to say "this was wrong" after the story hit the news. They reached out to the Perry students, there was dialogue and resolution between the two student populations. DC-G still has the bozos who were doing the chanting at the game, but other students there have made it pretty clear their behavior was unacceptable.

I hope something similar occurs in Wisconsin.
