Equipment Sale

Not as great as it used to be. Still ok deals, but not like 5 or more years ago. Used to get shorts and sweatpants for $2 now they're 10 or more.

They rarely have helmets. From what I've seen at least. We're usually very early and still they might have a handful that are gone in seconds.

I went to the last one and people were filling boxes of stuff and then after they walked through all of it then they went through all of it to decide what they actually wanted to buy. Then the stuff they didnt want they just threw it anywhere. It was a disaster area.

Yikes. Hopefully there is more structure this year, but I can imagine people just go nuts with this type of thing.

I wish they wouldn't let people just fill big boxes with arm loads of stuff. There is a lot of stuff that wouldn't sell in an auction - like piles of shoe strings. (I bought a pile. They are super long and work great to tie down tarps)

A guy named Sparkplug buys shoe strings to use as tarp tie downs. Am I the only one who thinks that is awesome???? Must be an Ohio thing!

Are you guys sure about the Cyclone Club getting in early? I had signed up a month or so ago with football renewals and would have to contact them to get a card.

The email I got said 2015 Cyclone Club members. Probably because the 2016 cards haven't been sent yet. Also, earlier in the thread some said CGC (Gridiron Club) members, but I believe it is only Cyclone Club members. However, if they are going to allow 2016 Cyclone Club members in early, I hope they publicize it as a family member of mine would join.

I can verify this being in attendance at past sales. It ends up being an absolutely mess after the first half hour or so, people just grabbing everything they can find. Maybe the increased prices will help a bit. As others have mentioned, a lot of the stuff used to be less than $5 but now you actually will need to think twice before just buying armloads of stuff.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that. I may email the Cyclone Club to see what they say.

Here is the response I got from the Cyclone Club. Hope it helps for anybody else wondering.

Good morning, all donors will be sent something via email this week, or you can always show your 2016 Cyclone Club electronic receipt. You do qualify as a current 2016 donor.

Thanks! Go Cyclones!
