No problem having Syracuse in the field -- thought it was near next-4-out range, but some of that is a dice-toss anyway.

10 seed, though seems forgiving.

Consider this a nice counter-balance gift for 2007 snub, JimBoe!

You are wrong. ND averaged only 70 pts per game and had a front line crew all over 6'10" plus Cooley at 6'9" and two others at least 6'8"

All the talk before that game was about how they were going to out muscle us and beat us up and outrebound us

Typing on my phone, my meaning didn't come through very well. ISU was a much faster tempo team two years ago. ND just flat ran out of gas. I don't think that will happen to Purdue with our slower pace.

Well, we are in the same situation as last year. Thursday early game. Although we won't be the first team to go out.

That placement is more favorable than I could've imagined for Iowa State

I have to admit, I didn't see ISU getting a 4 seed (I predicted 6, even though 5 seemed more reasonable).

Considering seed, region site & possible 1-seed opponent, subregion site, first-round opponent, that’s almost the best of possible scenarios available.

Take advantage of it!

Point taken. While this group has slowed things down, they definitely have the capacity to play at a higher pace to put some pressure on their bigs. In addition, Georges will be a problem for them on the outside as well, thereby opening up the paint some. Just think that we've been down this road before with surprising results.

Couldn't agree more! Gotta go out and make things happen now. Sounds like Prohm's got everyone on board so hopefully lockerroom chairs will remain on the floor.
