Too big to be a safety I'd think....215-220 range. Could be a nice linebacker depending on his speed and other abilities.

Sims played like a monster but was not huge. 5'8-5'9 maybe 205.

Jacques Washington was a monster . He was like 6'1 225.

Yea I see Croney def moving to SS..prob not Lb. he played SS in HS at 6'1 and 210. Jamaine Billups was a stud RB out of HS who ended up being a solid SS for us. He was only 5'10 at best but prob 220 by time he left. Either way I'm glad to see he's sticking around as I think he's got talent.

I think too much is being made of his weight. He has the speed and if he wants to speed up a little it is pretty easy for a kid like that to drop 10-15 lbs

Croney is not too big to be a safety. For the record, Brian Urlacher, played free safety in a 3-3-5 defense for New Mexico in college at 6-4 250lbs. Just saying.

Fresh set of eyes on the existing roster = chance to put guys in a position that gives them the best chance to succeed. Under the previous regime I always wondered if there were guys sitting on the two-three deeps on offense who were good enough athletes to be put to good use on defense.

Lol, wouldn't we all. Unfortunately he was truly a once in a lifetime player. Hardest hitting safety in the NFL from day one and was leading the NFL in interceptions the year he was killed.
