He went after the Refs plenty tonight. What good what getting T'ed up do.

Not sure what game you were watching Kingcy.... Even my wife was asking why he was acting so calm on the bench even though every possession was a drive by a wv guard and a foul call even when upon replay there appears to be a ticky tack call on one end and none on the other....

What good would it do..... I know you watch a lot of sports so im not going to insinuate otherwise. But seriously - theres a time to be calm and a time to stand up for your players. Your coming into the stretch run and it could have been a moment for the team to bond as a "Us against the world in this case the big 12 refs".... Why does Coach K why does Pintino or Self or Huggins get technicals. Its sends a message to both team and refs - otherwise its ok to screw us, were fine with losing.

It took 3 yrs before the refs took Fred seriously. They don't look at prohm the same way they look at Shaka Smart even tho both are 1st yr big 12 refs or other b12 coaches. His only out is to get T'd up. But that's just not his style, sigh

He was working the refs a lot tonight. You rarely see the camera on coaches while they are talking to refs unless they are exploding. There were at least 3-4 different times where I saw a shot of Prohm talking to a ref heatedly. Chances are, he did it quite a bit more than that.

Getting a technical sometimes can go a long way. Especially when it's getting so out of hand. Look how ku usually responds when self gets a technical. Lets the players know you got their back. Maybe it's something this team needs to see at this point

It's pretty bad when a team wins and loses based primarily on how the refs call fouls. I want to know why everyone but ISU gets good home court refs.

I think I would be fired if I didn't stand up for my employees. But I don't get paid 2 mil to do it..soooo

It still isn't enough. Other coaches always do that, but when you are getting screwed you have to put your foot down and say enough is enough. I know I would be too far the other way, but you have to stand up for yourself.

Do those coaches get T's a lot? Much at all? They know how to work the refs. Yelling and making them look bad isn't going to gain you any favors with them. Sure you may get call or two right after but in the long run it doesn't to much besides putting you team in a bad situation.

Disagree. Lets your players know you're in the fight with them

Yes the refs suck but it is ridiculous to ***** about officiating when we benefit more than nearly everyone at home.

I gave up on expecting to win before half time. The calls were ridiculous. I don't know how a team that commits some of the fewest fouls in the country can ever have more fouls than a team that commits almost the most fouls a game let alone twice if I'm not mistaken. They may have finally gotten to about even, but that is probably because at the end of the games we had to just let people go.

Same. The refs decided who they wanted to win that game early. I don't even know why I continued watching.

How can you say this when we have one of the most impactful home court advantages in the country?

In all honesty Fred had 2 technicals and 1 was an accident. Technicals don't make a good couch. But since watching games this year at Hilton, visiting coaches are ALWAYs in the refs ears, even when leading. Even during game play. Steve is more concerned about calling out Jamel than actually coaching during the game.
