Carol Hoiberg Retweet

this isn't the point but until history shows a coach will stay more than 5 years, I'm not sure why we should believe it. Since Orr we've had 6 coaches in 21 years. We won't be an elite program unless someone will stay. If Fred wouldn't stay no one will stay.

And bed that's fine, but it means people like you will have to accept the down year that will happen every 2-4 years. Don't ***** about us sucking next year.

This thread just proves that there can be no mention of the Hoiberg name without needing to re-litigate the whole "Why Does Fred Hate Us?" canard.

And there you are assuming we are gonna suck next year. Nothing positive can possibly come out of the Prohm hire to you. Hoiberg left, and we would have just been better giving up. Same with football after Rhoads was fired.

Does the outrage stop with immediate family members, or can we extend it to Fred's cousins? If I'm going to play an integral part in choosing kids' college educations, it's important for me to know this.

Whatever. I personally have no issue with the article and while I wish Paige was at ISU with the rest of us, I fully understand her wanting something different. I'll maybe have to deal with that myself some day with my current 1 year old daughter. While I'd love her to choose ISU, I'm going to leave that choice to her. Truthfully, my biggest fear is what I would say if she wanted to go to the chicken-hawks of the East. On that one, there might just be a firm "No way". Hopefully she will just know better than that anyway at that point ;-).

Why do you care? I mean seriously, what impact does it have on your life?

I wouldn't even want to go to college in the same town where my family lives. Legend dad or not.

If I was her, there is no way in hell I would have gone to ISU. I also wouldn't have gone to KU. I would have been far, far away where I could be myself and not The Mayors daughter.

honestly it made a ton of sense for her to go to KU even if Fred had stayed. I can understand wanting to be a bit further from home. I grew up near Waterloo and there's no way I'd have gone to UNI even though they were probably better with my major.

Im glad Paige is at KU. I just hate hearing about them all of the time.

Saw that Jack's new buddy on the Hinsdale basketball and golf teams has committed to K-Boo for golf. If he follows him there, crank up the K-Boo propaganda machine again. Will Weatherwax still be a thing in two years though?

I am glad she is happy and chose to go somewhere besides ISU but I really wish it was not freaking Kansas - and she works for Bill Self. PUKE

Why do you even care where she goes to school? It's not like she's playing any sports where she would actually be competing against ISU. She's just a regular student. smh.

EDIT...nevermind, I think you're referring to your own daughter and not Paige. Definite derp on my part. lol

In the front part of my response, I absolutely was talking about Paige. Why wouldn't I somewhat wish she went to ISU? Deep down, shoot I root for everyone to choose ISU. Its called school pride because I went there, just like I put in a good word for ISU to all my neighbor kids who are choosing a college. Paige is no different. Well, maybe even a little more so I guess for Paige just because she is a legacy (as in her family went to ISU, no different than any other legacies). I think legacies are even more fun when they choose ISU. I hardly think there is anything wrong with that. On the flip side, I'm never heartbroken if they don't choose ISU, even though I may give my neighbor kids a hard time in a friendly way if they don't.

Man people, cool down a bit.

i am not one complaining about prohm. I wasn't ******** about him or the team when they lost two in a row. I won't ***** about him if they lose tonight. There will be plenty on here that do though.

And mid of course the team can be good next year. But losing 4 starters is never easy. And our recruiting class is rough. And the reason it is rough is not that prohm can't recruit, it's that starting over every 4-5 years is not the way to build a program.

What's a canard? Is it the reason Fred hates us?

If one of Fred's sons turned out to be a 4 star recruit, and he committed to KU, a lot more of us would be butt hurt. Me included (even though I would not want to play basketball at the same school where my dad is a basketball legend).

But in this case, good for Paige.
