What are people's thoughts on this?? Cam seems to be a guy that's either loved or hated by fan bases. The lady who wrote a letter complaining about him disrespecting their "12th Man" flag by wadding it up and throwing it needs to lighten up. This isn't an American flag we are talking about. Yes, you can say your flag stands for a fan base that backs the team and takes pride in giving back to the community with charity work. Ok, anyone who gloats or embellishes the fact that they do community service work may not be doing it for the right reasons. We are talking about a bitter fan base that just lost. Plus, Cam has done charity work in the past. They've done make-a-wish too. If seattle had won that game, no one would say anything, let alone Cam winning the MVP or moving on to the NFC title game. On another note, lets talk about the person who gave him the flag as he's parading around celebrating. What did they expect? A signature? People look for reasons to complain. Society needs to lighten up, take a joke or two and gain their sense of humor back. Everyone seems to become offended too easily nowadays.

This story brings me back to the Iowa fans insulted and offended from the Stanford band. Win that game and you think they would laugh a little from it??

I think I might boycott this thread because it offends me!

Everyone is wound to tightly these days. This lady, Hawk fans crying about the Stanford band, ISU fans crying about Soundoff. Everyone needs to take a chill pill, and not be offended by everything.

If there were ever a "Lighten up, Francis" moment, this is it.

He threw a 12th man flag. If throwing a flag at a sporting event makes you mad, you need to find a different hobby. Richard Sherman directly calling out Michael Crabtree after beating him in the playoffs pretty much invalidates any Seattle fan's argument on the subject. I didn't have a problem with what Sherman did, so I certainly don't have a problem with what Cam did. It's a game. Stop being a ****** loser.

Back in the day, I could see Randy Moss attempting such a gesture for the opponent's crowd with an opponent's 12th Man flag...

complete with Joe Buck's hilarious overreaction?

This woman needs some serious time in a rubber room. WTF, you are in another teams stadium, waving your precious flag around and in the face of the star player from the other team, what do you expect? The only thing better would have been if he wiped his *** with it.

What's Soundoff, and what happened?

any Seahawk fan's claim to classless actions of another team is completely invalidated by the fact that their team is coached by Pete Carroll.

Cheering for a Pete Carroll team should be reason enough for the NCAA to give that person a show-cause.

Or just skip the 12th Man towel and use Joe Buck's hairpiece...

Or his awful beard. I thought he was just growing that for No Shave November but I guess he decided to keep it.

Did Cam even know what that was that they handed him? He just grabbed it and threw it. It's not like he opened it up, looked it over and then threw it.

If this was Cam Newton in college I would have been ******. For some reason I'm cheering for the Panthers and Cam Newton.
