I was curious about the last time Iowa State lost two in a row at Hilton, because ISU lost its last game at home to Baylor and will be an underdog to the #1 team in the country tomorrow night. Found this fact interesting.
The last time was in the 2010-11 season, Holberg's first year, when Iowa State had a four-game home losing streak against Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Kansas State, and Missouri. (ISU finished out the year after that with two-straight home wins over Nebraska and Colorado, though.)
There were at least a couple instances of Hilton Magic since then to prevent a two-game skid at home, too:
2014-15: Loss to Baylor followed by 21-point comeback against Oklahoma
2011-12: Loss to Missouri followed by Christopherson's buzzer beater to beat Oklahoma State
Hoping that this almost five-year streak continues tomorrow.
