We took dinner over to some friends that recently had a baby. Their older two (baby is #3) for some reason went into a closet. It just so happens they dup around enough in said closet to find their Christmas presents. Ooppss.

brother and I did that once, but they were wrapped. Mom played it off that Santa drops stuff off early since he can't really go to every house in one night.

That's kinda weird to have a bastard child Miata/Spider. I owned a '94 Miata. Still like the lines on that old model better than the new ones. I think Miata is due for a total remake.

Well, the '16 miata is a pretty extensive redesign, and I think bastard mashups will be the future in sports cars...toyotabaru fr-s/brz...a few other odd marriages are being hinted at. Miata has a good platform, capitalize on it and let other people buff the edges to their liking.

Just called to see if there were cancellations at Ortho so that I could maybe get in before next week...found out I got lucky getting the appointment that I did. They're actually scheduling in January now. Eeep!
As someone who has had multiple surgeries on both knees, it isn't that bad. Just remember you get as much out of rehab as you put in.

Also, don't play pickup basketball with your buddies the day after you get your knee scoped. You're probably going to end up getting a second operation a few weeks later.

Hey NWICY, I think I can hang the bike up for the season. Forecast is pretty much winter after today.

Consulting my CG-like spreadsheet I see that I fell well short of my 1000 mile exercise rides goal. Kinda slacked off the last two months...lazy sloth boy that I am.

806.9 miles, 58.6 hours, approx. 43,000 calories burned, avg temp 77.9, average trip speed 13.6 mph.

You lasted much longer than me, I only probably got another 100 miles after RAGBRAI, mainly in Mn. on work weekends.

Time to go buy a snowblower, remember 2 stage is good.

I really want to avoid a snowblower for just this year. Good exercise and all that. And no sidewalks. I have a feeling after the first snow I'll be like yep, screw that, getting a snow blower now.

where do people buy snow boots? Mine were always from Farm & Fleet, but they were steel-toed (cows are heavy, yo) and made for being stuck outside in Alaska for days. Or just a couple hours feeding calves, whatevs. I don't know what kind of boots are appropriate for city people, hahaha.

Crisis averted at 9-1-... Hang up.

well, now I'm trying to sort by customer rating and all this Ugg **** comes up on top so we may have a new emergency, because I can no longer trust these rankings.

they had a commercial about a harried woman at the store getting soup and stuff with her loud kidlens because it's going to be like a 3 day storm and while the wxman is saying how bad it will be, she quick grabs one bottle of wine on her way out. I like, stopped making dinner to yell at DH about that.

"A three day snowstorm stuck inside with those two loud kids and she got ONE bottle of wine?!"
