Any reason on why Rhoads does not fire coaches during the season. You look at other programs that make changes in the season and some of our coaches (Wally) is not cutting it anymore. Why didn't we already pull the plug on him and show that we still have some life. Seems like Rhoads is ready to go down and out?

Personally, I'd like to see Paul make a decision. Any decision. Show a pulse and some logic. Any logic.

Can the assistants vote to fire Rhoads? I would be in favor of that move.

A decision will be made 2 days after the game regarding why a certain decision was not made during the game.

What can he do? Fire MM? That would look incredibly bad IMO and desperate...fire Wally? Wally could care less he's only here to ensure his son gets the gig as DC. So what he's going to do fire Ayeni, Eggen or Lindquist? Who are really good coaches and recruiters IMO prob the best at their position we've had in a few years.

In the past I believe it was said (rumored or actually said in a presser) that firing coaches can split the locker room and he didn't want to do that.

If CPR comes back it will be with new coordinators, how about DannyMac for D-Coordinator

Firing asst coaches is not the answer its BETTER RECRUITING...............

rhoads recruiting is at the bottom of the league and that's where we reside because of it....

Its geography and we are a ugly duck in a beauty contest of a football league...........Better learn to live withi t until ISU moves to the big 10

Need more talent to even compete in B12. That is the bottom line.

Firing an assistant mid season is not a good idea. If you do that, its not like you can replace them the next day, so you would probably only make the team worse by having another assistant take on that position group. You would be spreading your coaching staff thin.

Almost the entire staff is in year 2 and their final year of their asst. contract...everyone will be gone. If JP decides to keep CPR he realizes it will prob be for at least 2 years because asst are on a 2 year contract...well most. What are there 8 asst. coaches? At say an average of $175k or so salary? Over 2 years...that's over $3 mil in buyout for just assistants. Although their buyout is prob less idk but it is still a factor. That's why it's either everyone is gone after this year or after 2017.

Only way CPR is gone is if a donor or two pony up because CPR is owed around $5 mil after this year and it's a lump sum payment due in 60 days. Absolutely ******** extension.
