****Official Class of 2016 Recruiting Thread****

Will just start praying that this lil school in urban dale becomes our Findlay.

From what I can tell, Pure Prep is ABCD. They have a picture of Malou on their website and they're located in Urbandale. I wouldn't hold my breath for this kid.
Good catch. I see they are situated at the same F3 Fire facility. I wonder if Glendon Alexander is still involved.

Yep, that would be amazing. If I could spend someone else's money, I would encourage a big donor to help fund them because that might be one of the best paybacks that exist for basketball

Not quite. It's the same people that trained Malou at ABCD but not who ran it (Glendon Alexander)

I wouldn't be too worried about the academics. Just found my friend's name on their roster (Bradley Jones) and he's still going to Iowa State as a student, its basically just an AAU team for people too old to be in AAU.

Sounds very reassuring

It looks like Pure Prep is some sort of a basketball prep school. Not sure if they are even an actual school, or just a basketball team that plays against a bunch of JUCO teams. Anyone know more about them? Stefan is on their roster: http://www.pureprepacademy.com/#!roster/c1fgp Hopefully it isn't some shady outfit like ABCD.

Since Stefan is from overseas, maybe he is just trying to get some exposure to D1 schools in the U.S.

Under the academics section on their site:
"Players will of attend SAT/ACT prep courses if they do not qualify for NCAA. Players will have the option to improve their GPA through online courses to replace clases needed."

Glad they clan spell classes.

I'm more saying that I don't think eligibility because of the team's academics would arrise unless the person is going to only that school. Sounds like its just a travel team, who has to provide some sort of "prep" to be allowed to exist.

So he's 20. . . Any chance he could come in mid semester? Doubt it but figured I'd throw that out there.

I almost think we should bank both remaining schollies for transfers or JUCO's, unless we can get some 4 or 5 star that we just can't pass up.

With the success I'm anticipating we're going to have this year, I think transfers will be beating down our door, and we need to take advantage of that.

If Norvell doesn't sign we will "bank" them until spring anyway. At that time I'm guessing we might be pretty picky and could end up banking them for the next class.

The more I look at Topalovic the more I like his potential. If he is truly a target for 2016, I would take him over Norvell. Topalovic looks like he could be groomed into a PG. I am eager to hear news about the kid.

Jimlad? Over Norvell? No chance.

Ok perhaps overstated, but if Topalovic is a prep recruit he's got a lot of value if he can play PG. Same is true for Norvell obviously especially grabbing a recruit from Illinois which is rare. So which fits better for 2016? A good 2-3 combo guard or a 1-2 combo guard when we are thin at PG 2017 forward.

Pants, I know you're really following the kostas recruitment very closely. Any word when he's committing? Are you his lead recruiter?

That's the truth! I absolutely look forward to reading these posts just to see the reaction! Kind of like we told our kids, "They only do it to get a reaction. If you ignore them they will stop."

Using the two scholarships in the spring isn't "banking" them. They are still for next year either way.
