So what did a miss? Caught the most of the first quarter in an exam room at the hospital. Little TV in the room had the game on. Got a brain MRI during the 2nd quarter.

Had a vision freakout around 5:30. Had a little flash like thingy in my field of vision like from a bright light or flash except it had sharp pointed colored edges. Closed one eye, then the other and it was the same for both. Then the spot started getting bigger and bigger and bigger till everything when fuzzy and oddly distorted. Told my friend I think we had better go to the ER.

On the drive over if got weirder and weirder. Objects I looked at had no left. Oncoming car, right half only and background where the left should be. Same for signs. Stop sign was “OPâ€￾ and half an octagon. Was freakin’ me out. Also felt super dizzy and nauseated.

After some time in ER room started to feel better. MRI was fine, no stroke. Eyes looked fine. It was a ot of ******* around to get to point of saying it's likely an ocular migraine. Looked it up and the image example looks a lot like what I was seeing. Still don’t feel good, have headache and kinda queasy but vision is okay again. A freaky WTF for sure.

yikes! But yep, with the queasy and headache.........sounds like an aura before the migraine.

wedding was good, spent a lot of the time talking with the sister of the groom (my good friend) and didn't have my phone on me.

Got to play with nieces - SIL handed off the 1 year old to me while she took a potty break and niece looked soooo forlorn and started to cry. I'm like, ruh roh. Started doing airplanes with her and having her fly at DH's face. Got her to laugh, which is a pretty adorable sound. Then I did a swoop with her or something - not sure how I started this - but then she wanted to keep doing it. So she'd throw her head back so I'd let her hang upside down for a second then swoop back up. She loved doing this and kept throwing her head back every time I held her. It was so cute. DH said I must have been getting her addicted to the head rush.

And I danced with her to Sweet Caroline - made her little baby arms do the "baa baa baa" thing. Gotta get 'em started young.

Ho-boy...nothing like Boxster's night, but it's been an interesting one since I went to bed last night. Today is one of my last days supporting overtime for my old job, other manager asked if he and I could stay on thru this schedule, and I was fine with it. Sure hoping we don't work Thanksgiving day, that's my last day. The way it works is we're present for one shift (usually 1st), but on call for the other 2, so we're on deck for 24 hours straight.

Phone rang at 11:40, so 10 minutes after 3rd shift started. Simple question, but I had to log in from home to fix something on a computer.

Phone rang at 2:30, this one more serious, so I had to walk a minion thru my old job level stuff click by click and action by action. Got it solved, but as I was laying in bed, realized I forgot to tell him one step at the end, which is really important (close a window), and should be obvious, or it might cause even bigger problems than they had before. Called him back, he hadn't closed it, but I thought we might be okay.

Didn't hear back from anyone, so I guess they ran okay.

I also was on duty for ushering at church, so I was going to do that, then go into work. Quick rundown there:

I was the only one of 3 ushers to show up, so I had to recruit someone to help, then the 3rd guy showed up really close to the start of mass while I was off helping someone with something...and sat in a pew (apparently didn't know he was supposed to usher). Then a guy passed out, so there's people rushing all over to help him right as people are going up for communion. Then, they ran short of eucharists (which is our responsibility as ushers to count, but we should have had like 25 extras by our count).

Come to work, and I didn't even have my safety glasses and stuff on and I get a call, same line as called at 2:30, apparently that window closing did screw something up, so I was up in the machine on my knees fixing it for about 15 minutes.

Hope the rest of the day is less interesting.

so I bought all the tickets for Wicked (happening this next weekend). One of them was a friend of a friend and I was told afterward via the friend that something came up for this girl and she could no longer go. Of course she still planned to pay me. That was in August. I've tried to help get it sold and I have one person who may end up taking it, but I'm a lot like how about you pay me and then do whatever you want with on this ticket? If I get to Saturday and I still have this ticket and no check from you, I'm giving it to someone to go. Or hell, by Wednesday/Thursday, I'll offer it to a friend for $20-$30 bucks. I don't really care that you are still trying to get full-price. I just want to know I'm getting something out of this ticket. I'm going to see what person who was interested comes back with today or tomorrow and then I think I'm going back to the friend and going to ask that this person get a check for the full price in the mail.

I suppose maybe they will still pay me for it, but I'm becoming suspicious she'll try to let it slide, which is not ok with me.

that's what I read. So confused.

Friend of mine won $900 and $200 last week. Thought I'd give it a try today.

I only ever bet $5 total in the NFL ones. I always seem to lose. I am almost undefeated in the college ones but never do big tournaments though. Although last night I would've gotten a lot of money.
