So this morning was the day my girls got to go "behind the scenes" with the volleyball team. They got there about 9am--had breakfast with the team, watched warm-ups, etc. My oldest said she sat next to Bigbee and Morgan Kuhrt at breakfast and talked about her Halloween costume with Christy. They don't really grasp that not all kids get to do things like this.
Ugh. "The boy" strikes again.
Takes a dose of Alka-Seltzer for stuffy nose/slight cough. Leaves the wrapper sitting on the kitchen counter when the garbage can is right. there. He does this with any medication he takes that might be in a blister pack.

Looks like another house in the hood is getting a tear down. Saw erosion stuff out last night and they unloaded a big excavator (house smasher) this morning. Three doors away. Going to be another three months of noisy construction stuff apparently. Lived here for decades and never saw who lived there. Always heard it was some lady who was in and out of institutions for years. Guess she may have died.
Crazy prices for lots to build on here. Did a little checking on the recent stuff online and see some houses going for $300k and than immediately torn down. People got some money if they can pay $300k and than pay to demo and start with an empty lot. I built my way into this neighbor by buying a little house and remodeling it over the years, no way I could buy into this neighborhood these day.

Same here. Only one problem...it's to the wrong school. He's an Aggie, Corps to the core...

Ok, stay warm. When I went out for lunch it wasn't too bad, but in the shade or with a breeze it would be cold.
If you don't mind me asking, why Volleyball? Did he play, did his sister or your mom play? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great he does, but that's not a typical sport you would donate to.My mom feels there should be something named after him somewhere with as much money as he donates.

Yeah...don't think my Daddy donates THAT much...
Definitely enough that, if he had ever lived near enough, he could have had pretty good seats to pretty much anything. He hasn't lived close to College Station since we left Fort Worth in 1960.
