Because when Nickels quoted me she talked about pineapples & Florida (basically, YOU). I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about Cooler.


So it's Nickels' fault...as much as you'd like to shift the blame to me Bubba!

The only reasons our service level is at the current "acceptable" (by your standards, mind you) level is because I know how to manage the details on my end. Furthermore, we could drop your puny little insignificant account and not miss a beat.

I decided to play it PC and request for a time to meet next week instead. I hate having to edit myself at work.

Busy busy week. Been working on a group design report and presentation due in the morning. We thought we were about done yesterday and then I noticed our calculations were wrong. I had to go back to fix them tonight. Everything is pretty much finished now, just gotta do a presentation and turn the report in.

Had a phone screen with a manager at the company I applied to in Ames. I thought it went pretty well, they'll be following up with me soon.

I'm about to eat cereal for dinner and do another homework assignment due in the morning.

I'd say I'm ready for the weekend but I'll have to complete a take home test, grade a set of homework for my part-time job, and finish doing more job application stuff. Oh screw it. I'm ready for the weekend.

I won't like this but I empathize. News man tonight said we lose 84 minutes of daylight this month. But it's already getting dark at 7!
 
kickball report quick cause I need to shower and go to bed to be up early for last day of stuff!

So we were down one of our good guys tonight and I wasn't good at 1st base and other team was good (currently 1st in league and beat team that beat us 16-2). So anyway, they only had 7 people tonight. We had the option of forcing them to forfeit at the start because they didn't have five girls. We're like no, we won't do that, that's mean!

Well, they were still really good. We had a bad inning and were down 5-12 top of the 6th. We had two people on base when our person kicked, and all of a sudden one of their guys who was going after the ball or threw it or something was on the ground clearly in pain. We're all like wtf, what happened.

Well, after he stood up and started messing with his arm, it became more serious looking. He tried rotating his arm and it became pretty ******* obvious that he dislocated his shoulder. I'm ok never seeing that jello arm move again. Oh. My. God.

Well the ref is like that's game, because now they'd be down to 5 (girl taking him to the hospital). We're like well, ok not to be ******, but it's just over? Not that we had a great chance of coming back but hey, we did have two people on base when this happened plus another inning yet (and we had forced a 3 and out on them the previous one). So our captain asked like what the rule or situation is. Other team is like "well they can have the win if they want it that much" Ok, well we still just want to know how that's supposed to work. It's not exactly our fault they started with 7 and then couldn't field a full team.

Turns out the rule is that if any time a team can't field a full team, it's a forfeit. The ref kind of pissily told us "so you'll probably get your win then". The ref was also like "it's 8:45 so the game needs to end anyway". Meanwhile, we started late because the ref left to get a beer and cigarette. So ref it's your fault we're past time.

So like none of us want a win like this especially knowing we weren't going to. And none of us were like WE SHOULD GET TO WIN we just wanted to know what the rule is since the ref was all about enforcing rules. No one likes this ref. Ref on the other field is far more nice and doesn't smoke the whole time.

So moral of the story is if you can't beat them, maim the players and get the forfeit.
 
and also, I really hope the guy is ok. That was so bad looking. DH thought he heard injured guy telling another player "I told you something like this would happen" so we wonder if maybe he has some kind of previous shoulder issue and didn't really want to play tonight but had to because they were short.

it would, but I'm rather hoping they put it as a tie or something. And I'm really hoping we don't face them in the playoffs if it does count as a win. They will likely be out for blood.

All five of them. Heh heh. Normally I think they have a full roster.
