MLB: 2015 Minnesota Twins thread

So pumped about 81 wins compared to the last 4 years. However, maybe they can catch fire and get on a run. We've seen that before with teams.

Looking at next spring, what do you guys see as the opening day starting lineup?

you think Hunter is still around?

Well Twins finally got a loss out of Houston, but Angels are hot. It's annoying that the Angels are finally playing up to their talent when the Twins have scrapped and clawed all year.

My guess is by the end of the night, we'll know if the Twins are going to the playoffs or not. They have to sweep today.

The doubleheader today scares me.

I was thinking we had more than two double headers this year, but I guess not. We went 1-1 versus Boston in June and 0-2 versus the Angels recently.

Hopefully we see the good Gibson and Pelfrey show up today. If not, our bats need to come alive.

Gibson needs to be sharp and improve on last week's outing against the Tribe. Let's hope Carrasco doesn't have a repeat of his last outing (one hitter).

I normally sigh when I see Pelfrey's name, but he has been surprisingly good against the Indians. And we hit Cody Anderson pretty well the two times we faced him.

A sweep today would be huge.

It's been a great race between those three teams down the stretch. Everyone is playing pretty well. Twins win 6 our of last 8 and don't gain any ground. That's tough. The one Perk blew on Friday is a killer.

I agree -- a sweep today is critical or it's probably the end of the run. Pelfrey is a competitor if nothing else. He might not pitch great today (who knows with him) but you know he will give you whatever he's got.

But its the last day of September and I still care about my team's results....I call that a successful year!

Mauer's contract makes it impossible to trade him. Suzuki regressed back to his average this year but he is tough as nails behind the plate and provides good dugout leadership. I don't think Buxton's bat is good enough for him to make the starting lineup next year unless he takes batting practice against Aroldis Chapman every day.

CF Hicks
OF Rosario
OF Kepler
3B Plouffe
SS Escobar
2B Dozier
1B Mauer
C Suzuki
DH Sano

Okay barring a disaster (and we've seen disaster), Twins should get the first one.
