Photos of the new south endzone have me very excited for the first game this year, just to see how different things look, sound and feel. That being said, it has me wondering what the stadium would look like if the north endzone was completely bowled in as well.

Dreaming Time: Will the North Endzone ever be bowled in? If so, how long?

I really doubt they'll ever bowl in the north endzone. I could see them getting some more permanent bleachers there for the band, or whoever sits there in the future. I think enough people like the grass seats that they'll probably keep them, at least for the next couple decades that is.

Personally I'd much rather see a full length or at least three quarters length press box than a bowled in north endzone.

In fact, facades all the way around the stadium would probably be higher on my list than the north endzone.

I hope they don't bowl it in! I like the Horseshoe look along with being able to look and see the stadium from the tailgate lots or Hilton. Once they start playing well year in and year out I would say do like a 1 story set of press boxes that way they can go from 20 yard line to 20 yard line.

Possible, but I think we'd need at least a decade of consistently filling in the 61,500 seats we have currently (plus surviving the next round of realignment) before it gets any serious consideration.

Right after we win multiple Big 12 titles and a NC... Here- have a Snickers

I have an educated guess that the press box would be the next project, if that ever happens, and the second project would be a lower-level bowl of the North end.

I wouldn't think FB will get much in the way of major projects for a decade or so.

My next pet project would be overhead crosswalks/tunnels at key locations to further improve traffic flow and game day experience.

Agree with all the comments about the press box before ever talking about the NEZ.

I think it goes back to donations and bang for your buck. Pollard talked about this on the podcast. Expanding Johnny's allowed them to add 100 people to that donation level. Pollard only spoke to the incremental change from $5000 to $12,500; but that increased donations by $750,000.
They could try to do something similar with the Press Box. Maybe demand wouldn't be as high as it is in Johnny's, but there's probably some opportunity there to really increase annual donations.

You don't think sprinting across University Ave. dodging cars on the way to the game adds to the game day experience? It's part of the fun;-)

I'm surprised they haven't made boxes out of the area between the lower bowl and the upper deck on the east side, the same as they did on the west side in the 2006-2007 range.

Donations/club seats = $$$, as JP mentioned

That would add a ton of that press box-like stuff without perhaps the structural additions (and costs) that come with adding more or a larger press box to the west side.

If people already won't walk to the cross-walk and wait for the light, what makes you think they'll walk to a bridge/tunnel?

You're asking the poster I quoted, correct? For the record, I don't think adding a bridge / tunnel is necessary, but I'm not against it either. Rather, just indifferent to it. Also, I agree with you that many will continue to walk across the street even if there is a bridge / tunnel, but I do think a bridge / tunnel will be used by the vast majority and will improve safety.

The east side has the Jack Trice Club, which I think is $1500/ticket and has a $5000 minimum donation with a 3 year commitment. It's like the endzone club - a big lounge area with alcohol sales and TVs, but along the sideline for a better game view. So between the decks on the west side are the suites, and between the decks on the east side are the Jack Trice Club.
