One came so low I thought it was gonna knock the cow off the Chick-fil-a billboard.

A 4 prop cargo plane (don't ask me to name what it was) flew right over our office and the guy I was talking to on the phone simply said "Holy ****, what the **** was that?!?"
That may be the start of the invasion by North Korea. They want to go after our BBQ first.

Signs it's time for school to start. Woken up from my nap earlier by neighbor kids (boy and girl) screaming at each other, shirtless dad comes out and joins in. Round 2 going on now.

School doesn't start here for another week. We have reached that point where the 5 of us who are hone together all day long need to get away from each other. On the flip side, I am losing my built-in babysitter. No more running errands by myself or going for a jog at noon (That only happened once this summer; today. Usually I ran at 6 am before hubby left for work). Nights will get busier here, too.

Oh yea. That's right. Didn't you say you went to church with Dr C or something?

Yeah. Know is used loosely she is 4 years or so older than me.

Pretty sure that was it, but I'm far from an aeronautical aficionado

That would be their Cargo support plane "Fat Albert" which is operated by the Marines. They do an impressive demo as well showing the maneuverability of it including short field take off and landings to avoid enemy fire close to a landing strip. There are some sweet videos out there of it including from when their demo included a rocket assisted take off.

Is this your built in excuse to still not post even after school starts?

We had to re-use our paper bags. Got a whoopin if we didn't.

I remember washing plastic baggies out and reusing them growing up. I think that was more of a way to keep us busy than out of necessity, though.

Did growing up without money make you more frugal or more of a spender as you got older and made money?

My wife grew up with money and she is definitely the penny pincher in our relationship. I'm not frivolous with money, but we have switched roles from how we grew up.

turn off your sound on your computer.

Or stop trying to do whatever it is your computer doesn't like!

BADING. BADING. BADING.

Kind of both? I don't spend money on myself very often, which has to do with the growing up poor thing, I think. I get a guilt complex when I spend money on myself that isn't a necessity.

But at the same time, I won't hesitate to spend money on others for things, and often buy dinner or drinks when out. I think that goes back to my upbringing as well. I grew up in a very giving family, and also, having grown up poor, I tend to like to buy for the group as my subconscious's way of showing that I'm doing ok.

Depends on how my mornings go. Usually I read in the morning, but I have to get one to preschool by 8am which will entail getting the other one up because she sleeps late. The preschooler could ride the bus but that means 20-30min on the bus before school starts. The older girls would be on the bus, too, but all 3 would get off T different buildings.

This leaves nap time to be on CF. Which is the only quiet time in the house. And that means I need to keep exercising early in the morning so I don't have to do it during naptime. I have slacked off in my push ups, being back may motivate me to me sure I can still do more than CG. :)
