Almost missed mine to Cedar Rapids last night. Driver dropped me off at terminal 3 in Vegas instead of terminal 1, and I was too busy with Nickels flirting with me to notice.

They were literally closing the doors as I ran up, shoes still untied from TSA telling them to hold the door.

I'd have been screwed. There was no other flight. Would have had to pay another 350 for another airline to take me to Minneapolis and get in at 4am.

Oh so you come to CR and don't even tell us.

Nice to see you too.

Oh my. I guarantee it wasn't Arby's

My son was 10lbs 10oz, so yeah, he caused some issues.

i should add there wasn't specific Bkylyn'ing, just a number of other issues.

You guys keep saying 9 or 10 pounds. Z was just under 7lbs and sneezing isn't always fun. Laughing for awhile after wasn't either. :)

Remember it's really worth it though.

Bolded portion is not true.

Well I'm a few weeks in with my fitbit, and I'm down 4 pounds. It's not much but it's a start. So far I have just been doing walking and soon hopefully I can step up my cardio to get better results. Trying hard to eliminate my fast food intake and my soda consumption although giving up soda is going to be so hard.

Great job! Keep this up. :)
What we have done for the soda is to try and only have it once a week. Or if you need to scale down first something like once a day, three times a week, ect....

Just me and my coffee waiting here for pictures of the Pants and Riley reunion.

im getting back into running after a year or so without it. last night i went for a mile and when i stopped i had cramps in both calfs and both quads. it basically made me never want to run again.

what can i do to keep running but not have these cramps happen? is it just because those muscles haven't been used recently? should i just keep running every day regardless of the cramps?

when I tried running several years ago and just went straight out and ran a mile, I'd cramp up terribly. C25K was good for me because you'd run, walk, run, walk and it helped warm up the muscles, stretch them out, then use them again.

I'd give it a day, go running again but put some walk breaks in depending how long you're going for.

The first run after we moved I noticed more soreness than usual since it'd been a few weeks. But when I'm more in condition, I notice it's my hips that seem to get bothered first.

That's right, now you're getting the motivation for my patented LIIT program (Low Impact Interval Training). Tonight, I want you to walk to the mailbox, then take a half hour nap. Report back tomorrow with your successes.

In addition to what cowgirl said, I always found it useful to take a 15 min ice bath after running

The rest day is important, but you need to use and move those muscles as well. If you walk around a bit, it will help loosen them up and hopefully take some of the ache away.
