She just said "It might just be a night for us to just stay in" referring to her and her roommate. I asked her if she was joining us out just prior
Without have been there, obviously, it sounds to me like it could have had to do with her and not so much you. Don't be too down about it, it doesn't sound like you are completely out of the race yet. Try again when you get the chance. Even if it ends up being a phone call down the line.
And if it doesn't work out for you, I would still gladly accept an invitation to the game. :v_SPIN:

Almost hit a person running on the road this morning. I was going around a curve on a somewhat narrow country road about 35mph, limit changes from 25 to 35 just past the curve, when I had to slam on the brakes because of the person running and an oncoming minivan. ******* in the minivan had about 4 feet on the right to move over so I could go by. I'm stopped and the ****** almost takes out my mirror.

Not sure why there is a law in process (or in the planning stages) about making more fireworks legal in Iowa. Hasn't stopped anyone from setting off tons of **** that is illegal. Wanted to sleep with the windows open last night, but couldn't due to all of the neighborhood fireworks going off.

Ah - I was just referring to Wisconsin's dubious "honor"...and someone described the shift work consumptions stages. Third shift equated to "liquid breakfast". Not as humorous (if it ever was) when you have to break it down.

I believe Nebraska's law on what fireworks are illegal is a little more lax than Iowa's...at least it is in Lancaster County. (Lincoln)
So the city of Lincoln had just passed the smoking ban in indoor public places. We're driving home through the post-fireworks display traffic, and through the blue haze of all the private fireworks, we read a billboard that says "Enjoy Smoke-Free Lincoln!"
