Hoiberg Watch 2015: Monday, June 1 Open Thread

I would disagree with this, and I'm not one of those who puts Fred on the high pedestal like so many on here do. Hoiberg is such a humble, unassuming person, he has no idea how he "comes across," and does not think about his "image." I've reffed every year at his camps, talked with him at Gilbert events, and seen him out in public where he's approached constantly by fans. He's always the same: respectful, humble, and never brushes anyone off.
I don't like how this has played out, but if Fred thinks about his "image" at all, it's that he wants everyone to see that he's not better than anyone else.

Fred thinks about his image all the time. You don't have to take it from me, his players talk all the time about his swearing and language at practice. Don't be fooled, his ego is no less than what you would expect. He was good at playing a role.
 
I hope Fred tries to create an account on Cyclone Fanatic, and says something particularly disagreeable, and then the moderators ban him for trolling.

I've been at many practices - I've heard Fred swear. Although that pales in comparison with the players, or when Sadler was here. Don't know what that has to do with his image.
Fred is still a very classy person, and I certainly disagree: I'd bet he has the smallest "ego" of any big-time coach, pro or college
 
I just hope for his sake that he doesn't fail. Because, that will likely mean the end of coaching. Going up the ladder fast without a parachute is a dangerous game.
 
I hope Fred gets 24 kills in a row on Modern Warfare 2, but then gets hit by a claymore mine when he's sneaking up to deliver some major pwnage on some newb to secure the game-winning nuke.

I'm sure he'll be fine. $25 million makes a lot of problems seem not so bad.

And you know... in a few years after we're all over this, if the NBA doesnt work out and we have an opening, and he still wants to coach, it wouldnt surprise me to see his name come up.

Most highly successful people have huge ego's. Hope the next coach has a big chip on his shoulder
 
I hope Fred leaves his Count Chocula box slightly cracked and has to throw it out and eat the cost or munch on stale cereal. Have fun making another monumental decision Fred!
