My MBB short list for coaches.

I say we hire Aaron Eckhart. He looks creepily like Hoiberg.

It's a pipe dream that he'd even be considered but I would welcome this guy back

Considering the terms he left on and his age it would never happen but I'm sure there is a good part of the fan base that would welcome him back. I'm still not sold that Fred is leaving, yeah the silence makes you wonder but there seems to be so many more reasons for him to stay in Ames right now than to head to the NBA at this time.

Bilas is an absurd suggestion but not because of the money.

If we are going for guys with assistant coach experience, Bilas coached for the greatest college basketball coach of all time....

I'm not saying that bc I want Bilas or don't like TJ, its just people act like anyone outside of the ISU and UW program know who TJ is or would even take notice of his hire. I get that TJ has ISU ties but almost all of the connection he has with ISU was during our worst stretch in recent memory, times we def don't want to experience again. Even his years at UW were below what they were used to doing.

You take away Fred Hoiberg and TJ hasn't been on the bench for ANY NCAA tournament games, not one team that won 20 games and only a couple teams that even finished over .500. I'm not sure why people are so confident he can be a successful HC. Sadly we have almost no choice in the matter, the coaching pool is picked over at this point its just about settling for whats out there.

There are only two people that I would be happy with as coach. Both are former Cyclone players and last names start with Ho.

You really would only be happy with those two people? If Pollard hired somebody with the track record Floyd had when he took the job you would be unhappy?

Maybe because if he gets hired, Hoiberg probably has a hand in it. And that's not just helping an old buddy out.

You have two options which do you choose?

1) Guy that national media types like Fran Fraschilla and Seth Greenberg know
or
2) Guy that every major AAU coach, handler, and prep coach in the NW, Midwest, New England and Canada knows
