We're still trying to pick a name for my next son. 3 months to go and still not decided. Maybe something from CF? :jimlad:

I love picking names for other people! I will give you all sorts of names, haha.

Part of the problem with picking names for myself is I've used pretty much all of them on a cow. And I don't want to use a bad cow's name for my kid, lol.

I think GTO needs to just start a poll when it comes to naming CG's firstborn.

And CG, by the time that 8th or 9th kid comes around, Charlotte won't be popular. Win-win.

cripes, I don't think we'll go to 8 or 9! Though now I want to know what your daughter's name is.

I haven't seen any Rebecca's for a long time. I think it has fallen out of use.

I like that name too. Asked DH about Becca a couple days ago. We've been talking names ever since I decided baby princess was going to take one of the very few names we both like.

Pants, can you tell us more about the shark swimming? Were you enclosed in a box, did they have rules like no eating before going?

I also love picking baby names for people. So much fun.

Sam has a long list of baby names that are immediately outlawed because of students she has had. Not quite bad cows, but she has a LONG list of outlawed names.

My boys all have very traditional old names and they are the only ones in their classes. I believe these are now the unique names for their generation as opposed to everyone trying to come up with something different.

This is all I can think about regarding the name Becky.

I like traditional names for boys. I'm not a fan of what I see for a lot of current boy names.

My brother and his wife had this problem as they were both middle school teachers. Nearly impossible to find a name that they didn't associate with some troublesome student.

that would be worse than cows. Because you remember the bad little kids and it's more likely you want to use their names. I know I had a cow named Charlotte but I also had cows named Chiclet and Skittles so it's not like those are top baby name choices.

GTO, what are you going for? What is big brother's name if you wish to share with us creepers? Or did you say Leo? cause I was thinking you should name your baby Leo. That seems vaguely Greek and Spanish.

Both my boys have old school names. Caleb is a bible name. Not picked because of that, but that's how old it is. And Grady peaked in popularity in about 1908 I think.

I'm glad I had a big say in both their names.

It will be interesting to see what Sam and I name any of our kids. I will definitely want the name to be outside the current Top 100. I wouldn't want our kids to be one of 6 kids with the same name.

My husband and I always picked out girls' names too but never needed them. Our basic approach was if we wouldn't go to a doctor with that name, we shouldn't name a child that.

Luckily most of her kids this year have terrible names to begin with.

Brentney, Kayos; yes, that's pronounces CHAOS, and she's every ounce chaotic. There's only a few names we both really like that she's had to disqualify.
