So they're mowing the apartment property right now. I can hear them running over fairly large sticks. A) That isn't safe, and B) That is not good at all on the blades of the mower.

I know, not my mower, but to have that ingrained in my head as a kid, it just makes me cringe. (Guess whose job it was to pick up sticks before mom or dad mowed?)

ooooooo I remember that job!

Don't worry. I know this is you and Lew. Happy as ever. Especially since he's not spending all his time on Clash of Clans now.

How do you know that? Are you one of the War Clones, or whatever that clan name is?

Sometimes I wonder if I'll always be guessing since Z is the only child I have had to raise. She's been a little off the last few days and finally figured out that it had to be a teeth thing yesterday since she didn't want to eat much solid food.

At least that's the only thing I could think of with no fever or being sick.

I feel like that's what a lot of parents do. Not that I know.

I should ask your other half about some of his favorite history books. Looking for interesting things to read and I've got some stuff by Shelby Foote and David McCullough to read. WI history might be cool too, but that's a bit harder to Google.

not even just history, I guess. What are people's liked books lately? DH liked Flash Boys that I made him read so I need to read it now....think I'm going to get Tina Fey and Kirsten Gillibrand's too. Just got to figure out which library has the most of them.

If you are willing to invest a significant amount of your life then I would suggest the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (RIP) and finished by Brandon Sanderson.

It's a fantasy epic but not quite as debaucherous as Game of Thrones. Very character driven and engaging. My favorite book series of all time.

It starts with "Eye of the World".

FYI, there's a lot of good female characters in the series, and none of them are sloots like in Game of Thrones so I think they are more easy to relate to for female readers.

So Pantsy and one of his employees goes to Kauai this morning. Pantsy puts the plane tickets on his corporate credit card. Pantsy's employee gets TSA pre-check, Pantsy doesn't. Pantsy also gets selected for a random search. I can see that this is how this is going to go.....

I tried so much to like that series :( He's really good at description and setting things up, but if I remember right the bad guys were called something like Children of the Light? At the time I was reading it I was also in children's choir and we had a song about being children of light. I couldn't take it seriously anymore and laughed every time I read the phrase.
