Grilled cheese is incomplete without tomato soup. I will eat it without but the whole time I will be wondering what I am going to dip it in without my delicious cheap *** Campbell's tomato.

I also sprinkle a little garlic powder on the cheese in my sammich.

stop judging me, channel 15! I already strength train! :skeptical:

23, but I think the gibberish ones shouldn't count.

I heard that Freddie was tired of everyone trying to get to the "true meaning" of his songs so he put pen to paper and created Bohemian Rhapsody then promptly quipped something to the effect of "**** them; let them analyze that!"

Anyone know if that is true or urban legend?

I remember the 60s. I just don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

BTW - I was 14 when Woodstock happened. I wasn't there; I just remember it from the news, and the radio. I do remember specific events from the 60s:
The bad stuff: JFK, MLK & RFK assassinations, Kent State, a war correspondent in Viet Nam getting shot in the leg on camera...
And the good stuff: the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, Neil Armstrong stepping out onto the moon, the Smothers Brothers Comedy hour & Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. If you ever want to see how Goldie Hawn got her big break in showbiz, watch Laugh-In.

What was the Holocaust like?

Jeez, step a way for a few hours and it's a frenzy of posting.

Y'all were talking sammiches and I didn't get to post I had a bacon and avocado sammich for lunch. Are avocados good for you? I suspect not even though they are green.

Closest I probably came to getting into a fist fight as an "adult" was in the dorm den when one dude said they should have shot them during reporting of the shooting. Profanities, tossed chairs and restrained combatants. I owe a thanks to my old dorm mates who probably saved me from getting beat up by the guy who outsized me by enough to be big trouble. Hell, everyone outsized me than and now! Guys built like 10k runners should show more restraint ( I historically have).

When I got home from work, I found baked Alaska salmon, lumberjack potatoes, peaches & cream corn on the cob all steaming hot, ready to eat...my honey LOVES me! :)

Tin soldiers & Nixon coming...four dead in Ohio.

So what time are we going to collectively do our Cadbury eggs and rum sampling this evening?

I'm not going for the eggs (though I'm thinking I should hide them and see how quickly DH notices when he gets back) but it's about rum o'clock in my area.

I need to feed my children yet tonight. Cadbury eggs and rum sounds easy and I bought 2 bags this week. Only have good rum, though, don't need to waste it on them. Better make myself a mango daquiri.
