I'll have you know I maintained/lost weight this winter. And did a boot camp heavy on squats and lunges. I am proud of my butt right now, ha.
Clearly, from the # of texts I've been getting.

'eh...let 'er fly...he gets a couple of those, you might get a break on the final bill.
talked to DH at 6. Be home soon? Yep, be home soon.
Still not home.
Not specifically a rebuttal of your comment or advice to you, but it reminded me of the old days for me (I started on 1st shift), and some general advice for people dealing with this stuff.
There were times when I was required to work late because something came up and required my attention. Despite my discussion with Wxman about coming in early, I was pretty protective about staying late, because Mrs. 00clone was asleep if I went in early, but I was missing time with her if I stayed late. However, there were times it was unavoidable due to my job responsibilities. So, when that happened, it tended to p1zz me off too, but nothing I could do. However, Mrs. 00clone would call and ask when I'd be home and I'd say...not sure, don't think it'll be too long, maybe X o'clock, but these situations couldn't accurately be predicted...I mean, you can have an idea, but that involves a correct assumption of what the issue really is, and thus an idea of how long it'll take, but sometimes you don't exactly know what the issue is...hence, crapshoot.
Then if it went beyond X o'clock, I'd get another call, annoyed...
I finally explained to her that I hate working late too, that's why I go in early, but sometimes I have to. Since I hate it, I'm not happy when I have to, but that unhappiness is doubled or tripled when you are repeatedly reminding me of how I'm upsetting you, which I already know, because it's upsetting me as well.
Again, not saying that's you, but from someone who has been in that situation, the other side stinks too.
I always tell the fiancee all I can know for sure is what time I go into work. I have a scheduled time I'm suppose to be off, but that can be altered any day on a moment's notice. If there's severe weather, breaking news or a recording we needed to do that we didn't know about it's up in the air as to what time I'll be off.Not specifically a rebuttal of your comment or advice to you, but it reminded me of the old days for me (I started on 1st shift), and some general advice for people dealing with this stuff.

No, this one started about near Rochelle, still going. Looks to go between Harvard and Woodstock
Just saw a picture from Rochelle. This one will be a 4 or 5.

it's not usually that he's busy (at this job, at least) it's that he'll stay to read the paper at work or fiddle around on something. Tonight it was that he went to the house but I thought he was coming right home from our phone convo. It's fine if he's like I'm busy tonight, I don't know when it will be. That I totally get. I just appreciate it if he knows he's going to be more than an hour late to just text me. Especially if you want warm food......
That's what I'm thinking. Seeing pictures and videos on the news. Bad thing now is it's dark and it's rain wrapped. Won't be surprised if this goes all the way to Lake Michigan
