Luke Knott setback?

If Brian Mills is playing as well as some think we can go without Luke. In saying that it would suck if he could never play football again. A crappy situation for him.

@TommyBirch: Rhoads on Knott:
"Could start in 2015 or could never play football again. I think it's all on the table."

Finished by saying "I guess it's pretty serious, or not"

Coach then picked up his order at the 31 Flavors counter....

I've never understood why we take athletes to Mary Greeley. I've been in medical sales for 20 years, in the OR...a lot. In 5 states. If I had to choose between having surgery at Mary Greeley or bleeding out in a Afghanistan prison I'd choose the later.

My wife is a physical therapist and she said pretty much the same thing except naming the surgeon specifically, not Mary Greeley. Of course she assumed who the surgeon was without actually know so it may not even have been that doctor. It just seems really odd that this many athletes for the Cyclones are having hip surgery. I really hope they are getting second and third opinions.

Agreed. I work in healthcare in Des Moines and twice a month I manage Outreach Clinics with Orthopedic Surgeons from the U of I. There are much much better resources than Mary Greeley for ISU players to utilize for surgery. Unfortunately it's probably some sort of an agreement between the University and the local hospital or Orthopedic group.

Our players get hurt on the field, the practice field, and now can't stay healthy off either field (Meyers, now Knott). It really begs the question of is this program legitimately under some type of curse? Almost as if they made a deal witht the devil for that OSU upset back in '11.

Didn't Luke have surgery in Chicago?
