In KC, they were showing clips of some Wichita business that had the roof blown off.
I wouldn't be surprised. Those were some strong winds for a bit. A WeatherBug station across thr street registered a peak gust of 75.
We got very lucky compared to the rest of town.
Was called a "unicorn loving fagg*t" on facebook this morning. A friend posted something about someone deserving to get assualted and I said no one deserves that. Then a woman came in and said it would be better to shoot them. I asked if they really advcated for assualt and threatening people with a gun and that's how she responded. Then I said following the law doesn't make me that and she said only liberals have feelings.

As I get older, it seems like I have to "thin the friend herd" from time to time. Get a new job. Get married. Have a kid. Lose a loved one. With every new change, I find out who sticks with me through it all.
It sounds like you had some friends that just made that process a lot easier for you.

Thanks. Im not a real social guy so sometimes my lack of IRL friends gets me down. Then other times I realize I wouldn't hang out with them anyway.

Did anyone else not have spring break in high school? I have talked to several people lately and they all look at me like I'm insane when I say that. I went to a small town Catholic school, and we'd get Good Friday and (I think) Easter Monday off, but otherwise we just plowed through the school year.
Religious school issue maybe? I think in elementary we got Good Friday off and MLK Day, but I don't think public schools do that any more.
We didn't have spring break. We had Good Friday and the day after Easter scheduled off. The Monday usually ended up being a make up day for a snow day. This was at a small town public school almost 15 years ago.

Good Friday & the Monday following. We also had Christmas break. They are now "spring break" and "winter break", and I'm okay with that.

Best thought of the day. A friend gave birth last night and baby and mom are alive and well!!!
So we're really excited.
She's had a few mc and a stillbirth.
Wondering if we have the same friend? She plays in our bell choir - she was due within the last couple of days, and we told her she had to squeeze her knees together until 7.30p last night (after we played for the Maundy Thursday ecuminical service).

And all girls.We never had a week-long spring break in school, just time off aroun Easter. I think where we are now they do it more to coordinate with Iowa State/Ames since we have many families who work at the university
I'm disappointed I missed that thread. If you guys ever need some Redline ammo, I'd give this forum a shot. It generally consisted of people making fun of Redline's ricer and Redline challenging them to say it to his face.
