Walking Dead

I'm actually glad they didn't kill off Gabriel. He's one of the more interesting characters right now.

The only vocalizations at the episode I made was when Glenn was shot in the shoulder ("You bastard!") And when Morgan showed up in Alexandria. ("Ohhhhhhhh!!!!!!!")

Ooo...as just mentioned, we'll get to see the backstory behind how Morgan went from crazy hermit to zen Rick-seeking.

Looking forward to the spinoff, "Fear the Walking Dead". Looks like its going to provide a lot of background as to how the virus started and the very beginning stage of the outbreak. Something I've been curious about since episode 1.

It's a good thing this disease doesn't spread through blood, because Rick would be a zombie for sure by now.

Good episode, but I do feel let down (and I feel odd using that term) at the lack of any main character deaths. That feels really strange to write.

The architect/husband did seem like a good guy for sure, but really didn't make much of an emotional impact. Certainly the reveal of the Wolves sets up next season pretty well though. Poor red parka guy...

Based on comic books I know which of the likely should be unlikely, but other than that, I absolutely agree.

Huge departure from the comics tonight which is pretty exciting. There have been several scenes this year pulled straight from the comic but the Wolves are totally new. Could be comparable to a comic group but I'm excited to see where they take it from here.

For how great the writing and story line is, I've always found it very childish/silly that the only way to become a zombie is by being bit. I mean what do they have, some kind of venom in their teeth? I understand that's been the mantra for every zombie movie or comic ever, but it just seems silly.

1. Everybody already has the disease. That's the whole point of Season 1, Episode 6.

2. I'm pretty sure getting walker blood in an open wound is fatal, much like being bitten or scratched. It's not some "walker disease", but rotting flesh or whatever the theory is.

Yeah I know. I'm just comparing it to other zombie movies where if a zombies blood gets in your eye or mouth, you're screwed.

IIRC, a scratch takes several days to kill you (Jim in S1), a bite takes a few minutes or hours depending on how severe.

And yes, regardless of how you die, you come back as a walker.

Can someone explain to me what the Wolves thing is, I watched the episode and what happened seemed to go right over my head for some reason.
