Officials tonight..

I was more upset with the commentators not watching the game/conveying clearly incorrect information about the game.

That wasn't a flagrant on McKay...take off the cardinal glasses. the dude held him up so he wouldn't go flying. I didn't see any replays though so maybe i'm off too.

No attempt at the ball, wrapped an arm around his neck and pull him backwards. It should have been at the very least reviewed.

Is there anything more bush league in sports than ******** about the refs? After extreme events (KU @ ISU 2013), sure. After normal games? Garbage.

I could agree continually blaming losses on bad officiating is bush league. But bad officiating happens, and there is nothing wrong with pointing out when it does. Whether or not you think it was to any teams advantage, the officiating was not good tonight.

That one where the guy threw down McKay was horrific but Hogue got a few called his way too that were questionable.

Hogue should be nominated for an Oscar on that one call.

Fouls called basically equal and being on the road that's a positive. And we DID win a road game which is pretty cool by itself. So no ref impact since we won.

I particularly enjoyed the tie up signal with Forte and then THE SAME REF calls timeout OSU. If they called the time out before your signal, why did you call a held ball? Seriously....

Yeah, people act like you can't complain about it because we won. But there were so many crap calls. The ref is standing right there with his eyes 5 feet from the tie up signaling tie up before the time out call.

Makes it that much sweeter to sweep them.

Officiating wasn't spectacular but I didn't have any problem with it overall. The jumpball/TO was lame though.

Also, I may be reading too much into it but the one ref looked pretty ****** when McKay held on to the ball and stared after he was called for traveling that one time.

Can we try to have one away Big 12 game where we don't make a thread about the officials? It's garbage like this that feeds the perception we blame the refs for everything.

He didn't make a play on the ball at all, he just held McKay by the shoulders so he wouldn't score, that is a flagrant.

Agreed. Awful reffing doesn't cease to exist by ignoring it. I think the MAIN point is that this team overcame it all on the road no less and pushed right through it. That's a huge step in the right direction. What's wrong with pointing that out? Isn't that one of the marks of a great team?

Non flagrant on the football tackle.
Travel call on a putback where a guy went straight up and got fouled.
Timeout given after guy had been tied up for a full 3 seconds.

Those are some of the worst calls you will see. The flagrant one could have got someone hurt or suspended because of their ineptitude. We had a few bad ones go our way but nothing as outrageous as those 3.

Agree on the time out as well. I replayed it several times, you could hear Ford call timeout and it was well after the tie up, and after the official on the base line put his arms up to indicate a tied up ball. I thought is was a big time home crowd officiating team. Niang and Hogues 4th fouls were both absolutely horrible. You could tell the announcers agreed. That's the way it generally goes on the road though.

Maybe its been addressed but I thought Dustin got screwed on our end when he rebounded a miss then ended up on the court and got called for the foul. I think even the Okie State players were surprised. What a great win.

Yes, clearly we are blaming the refs for the win.

I didn't think the officials were horrible at Texas Tech or KU (shockingly).

They were horrible in the road wins against WVU and OKState, not very good in the Baylor road loss but not as horrible as tonight and @WVU.

I don't blame the refs for everything....just most things.
