Walking Dead

Man the women of this episode are being some emotional chicks

I would expect them to be, given the circumstances. If they weren't emotional after the events of the last two episodes, this would be a terrible show.

This was definitely one of those "aftermath" episodes showing the toll on the group, before they can move the plot forward. I liked that for once they were facing shortages of water and food, I feel like that is about the first time that has happened. Although when they were looking for water, I kept wondering why they didn't just go to the low point in the area instead of walking through the woods? Driving down the interstate, it oughta be easy to find some creek crossings.

Filler episode.

People complained incessantly about Maggie not mentioning Beth while they were separated. I think they wanted an episode to show that they are all still human. It was depressing and a bit slow but they showed human emotions and frustration with the water shortage, dealing with the deaths, and just the stark revelation that this is survival for them now.

I think it was a really good episode and then they threw in Random Dude #1 at the end to spice it up.

I think you're a bit over critical here. They showed the one girl walking the creek bed with the dead frogs, and she continued to kick the dirt in each of the lowest areas looking for mud in those low spots.

Yeah I didn't figure out the significance of that scene until after. Clearly they are looking for water. I liked the bit about leaving the water in the middle of the road. What a crazy situation to be in but I think it speaks volumes about the life they are living.

I thought it was a good episode but a bit of a 'connector' episode getting us from one storyline to the next. With the arrival of the new guy though at the end kind of ****** me off. I only started watching this show a few weeks before the second half of season 5 premiere so I binged through it. This is the episode where I wish I was able to binge so while the current episode was decent all I want to do is start the next one immediately so I can figure that out.

I'm having a hard time understanding Maggie. The whole time Beth was gone it was no big deal, especially compared to her search for Glen.

I think that was more of an oversight on the writers' part than anything to do with the character.... it was like they forgot they were sisters, very weird they didn't at least have a few lines about it here and there.

The tornado wiping out the walker horde while leaving a wooden barn standing was a little contrived, but got a good laugh out of seeing the zombies hanging in the trees.

Did the episode end with the music box starting to play and Sasha & Maggie turning to look at it? We dvr'd, and that's right where it stopped....Ack!!!

Nope you missed the random guy in the woods.

No - didn't miss him. They couldn't get it to play and while they were laughing about it he came out in the open and surprised them. He told them he wasn't dangerous, that he wanted to see their leader Rick. Then all of a sudden the music box started to play, they all looked at it and BOOM...recording ends.

You're okay, that was the end of the episode. The only thing you missed were the scenes from the next episode.

I'm having a hard time remembering exactly what happened, but yes, I believe the episode ended there. Then proceeded to show scenes from the next episode.

Cool...thanks, guys!

Funniest thing about it...I've finally got PapaLew watching it with me, but he hasn't been willing to admit he's really starting to get into it. Tonight when the recording ended I heard this "NoooooOOOOOOOooooo" come out of him - I think he was more upset with the possibly shortened episode than I was!

How does this random strange know Rick's name?

At this point, it would be safe to assume that he was the one who left the water on the road. And if that's the case then he's probably been following/scouting the group for a while.

That is the million dollar question. Maybe this guy's group captured (or just includes)... what's his name from the first episode?

That is kind of what I was leaning towards or the guy they didn't kill in the semi trailer while running away from the cannibals.
