Plenty going on around the league. Richie Incognito has found his way back into the NFL in Buffalo, the case against Greg Hardy was dismissed, and Deflategate is still unresolved.

Teams can start using the franchise or transition tag on their players next Monday and can begin negotiating with free agents on March 7th. It could be a really interesting free agency period with big names like Suh, Dez Bryant, Darelle Revis, Hardy, and DeMarco Murray all set to hit the market. Plus some team is likely going to take the leap and make a deal for AP assuming the Vikes don't just release him.

The offseason has barely begun and my Browns have already ensured that they will be a basement dweller for the foreseeable future.

But you didn't have to wait until the offseason to know that, did you?

jk. I shouldn't be mean, but I agree, the Browns seem to be packing it in for the season awfully early this year.

The Hardy story is weird. Basically the charges were dropped because the prosecution couldn't find the accuser.

The accuser and Hardy also recently settled a civil suit out of court which I'm sure has nothing to do with the fact that the accuser now isn't cooperating with police.

I would love for my Dolphins to trade that whining piece of trash Mike Wallace for another whining piece of trash receiver.

Knowing the Phins, they will trade Mike Wallace for a 4th round pick like they did trading Brandon Marshall, one of the best in the game, for a third round pick.

I saw a mock draft this AM with the Vikings taking Scherff. Not sure how to feel about that.

I hope not. I think they'll give Kalil another year to see if he can improve. I'd much rather see them go after one of the top WRs or Landon Collins at safety.

Dez Bryant will be an interesting one...can the Cowboys let him leave? Would you give him a ton of money?

He's a top three receiver in the game right now with lots of good football in him. If the Cowboys end up having to take one and leave the other, it would make more sense to pay Bryant than Murray. But the catch is how soft the market is for running backs in the NFL now. Dallas could put a fair offer on the table and gamble that he doesn't get a better offer elsewhere. Or they could franchise tag him. Considering that no running backs outside of AP and Lesean McCoy are getting big money these days, the tag number would only be around ten million next season.

It's definitely a tough call. If you went by sheer contribution to the team, then it's Murray. Based on this year's stats, Murray had 5 times the number of touches as Bryant. He was a much bigger part of the offense. But, that's the nature of RB vs WR, and all of those touches actually might work against Murray when you bring wear and tear into it. Then you have to think about how much better they'd be than their replacement, if they were to leave. I think this favors Murray, given that Joseph Randle has been in all kinds of trouble, and probably can't be counted on. In Bryant's case, Terrance Williams looked like he might have some ability as a #1 receiver.

With all that said, if forced to take one or the other, I'd still probably keep Bryant.

I feel like mistaking number two WR's who play across from a great number one WR as potential number one guys themselves is a trap NFL teams fall into all too often. It's hard to account for all the defensive attention and gameplanning that goes into shutting down the number one guy.

If I was with the Cowboys, and it came down to taking one of those two, I would take Dez and it wouldn't be that tough of a choice.

I agree. It's the old Alvin Harper conundrum. If your #2 WR looks good, how much of it is due to your #1 drawing away focus?

Word is Suh wants to go to Seattle. I'm sure it has a lot to do with him being from Portland and wanting to play for a readymade Super Bowl contender, but holy salary cap issues, batman. We'll see how badly Suh wants to play for the Seahawks by what kind of a home town discount he's willing to give them.

Talk about a match made in heaven. Seattle would be smart to stay away from him unless they can get him to sign a short contract, which probably wont happen.

I can't say how they'd swing it. With Russell Wilson and (possibly) Marshawn Lynch due new contracts soon I don't see how they find room for Suh and the upwards of a 100 mil he could command. Especially since Suh has already said he's letting his agent pick his next team. If there's any truth to that and it's all about the cash, then someone will offer more than what Seattle can.

Depends on the round. The Vikes will most likely take a WR in the first round. Scherff certainly is not 11th pick material.

It looks like Manning is probably coming back to Denver for at least one more run at the Super Bowl. If he can stay helathy and co-exist with Kubiak then I like how Denver is shaping up next season. Bringing in Wade Philips as defensive coordinator was a good get for them. He flopped as a head coach but as a defensive coordinator he's always excelled. Von Miller and Demarcus Ware will flourish in the 3-4.

Definitely not, especially if he moves to guard or right tackle as some scouts project he will. I like him as a prospect but 11 seems a tad high.
