CES 2015 - Sling TV

Good news from Sling:

Hey everyone! Great news: we’re already adding to our channel lineup! For those who are already enjoying the service, we’ve released a $5 per month “Sports Extra” add-on pack which includes: ESPNEWS, ESPNU, SEC Network, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN Bases Loaded, ESPN Goal Line, Universal Sports, Univision Deportes, and beIN Sports. We’ve also added El Rey, Maker, and Galavisión to our core package.

We are set for basketball now! Other than cbs sports net for a game or so and trutv for March madness.

Really want to see fox sports one added before the fall and I'll be a happy guy.

we cancelled cable today so I wouldn't mind seeing that invite sometime soon! We'll probably wait a bit longer to join though.

Just got my invite. Will look at buying out our DirecTV contract and going to this. It comes with a week free. All of those packages for $30/month...

No NBC Sports means no Premier League which makes me sad, but I guess beIN does have La Liga games. Not having a PS4 or Xbox One app is pretty lame too.

Got my invite, but it's saying the email I signed up with is already taken when I try to register. Any ideas?

Got my invite and ran into the same problem. I was doing this on my media PC, which is old and still runs Vista/IE9. I clicked on the link in the email, and it took me to the Sling site, and I clicked on "register", as there didn't seem to be any other links to click for signing up, but got the same thing...it took me to the page where I signed up for the invite.

Having run into problems before with that old version of IE, I then opened the link from the email in FireFox (latest version), and there was another blue "getting started" type box on that page that I'm pretty sure didn't show up in IE9, which I clicked on, and was able to finish the sign up process. I downloaded their PC app, and everything seems to be working.

Thanks. I'll have to try that when I get home from work. I was trying to register on my iPad last night to no avail. I somehow got to a login screen in my half asleep browsing, but it kept saying there was an error and try again later when I tried to login. I'm assuming that's because I never actually completed the 4 step registration process.

It's nice to be able to watch ESPNU not on first row. This is great for basketball season. Probably will subscribe to this and Cyclones.TV for the basketball seasons and be contract and TV free for the summer.

Just a note - when you sign up, you get a free week to try it out. Can cancel, sign up, etc. all on the website just like Netflix.

Has anyone else tried the iPad app? It looks like I'm all signed up (can edit my personal info), but I can't login to the app. I haven't had a chance to try my PC or Roku3 yet.
