Kinda funny how well known almost all of the remaining countries are well known for illegal drug activity

Colombia
USA
Amsterdam
Jamaica

I know nothing about Ukraine.

DH watched the swimsuit portion to point out to me who was "au naturale" and who was plastic-enhanced.

I'm fairly certain Ukraine is in there as nothing more than a political statement.

Just saw that a pilot of a Cirrus was flying to Hawaii and had his ferry tanks rupture so he ran out of gas. He pulled the planes chute, floated down and was rescued by a cruise ship.

Is it bad if I immediately wondered how quickly he went to the buffet?

I wish I had any idea what I wanted out of life (or how to get it) at this point. Its that time of year where depression hits hardcore.

It can be...have you looked into seasonal affective disorder? Short version: sitting inside, or completely covered when outside and the short days of winter can screw with your hormones, depression being one side affect. Treatment can be as simple as light therapy.

Or, move to Hawaii.

Disclosure: IANAD, so YRMV.

I just re-visited college breakfast. I had a Mountain Dew and a bag of doritos. Regret is trumping nostalgia at this point.

SAD is the first thing I thought of as well. It's pretty common in the Seattle area. Skies are grey and dreary for months.

Yeah, admittedly I'm normally one to say "sheesh, do we need another 'name' for people's depression? It's winter blues, we all deal with it", but there is a difference between general blah and feeling helpless. And, I also notice that some seasons have a higher risk of depression than others. Mine's actually worst as spring starts to break, I think it's actually winter finally piling up.

Also, I believe depression tends to be higher after the first of the year. With November/December, the season is there, but we're buoyed up or just kept busy by the holidays. When we slow down, it can all come down on us.

Your depression coincides with the end of basketball and the long wait towards football. That'll be $250 for your first session. I take checks.

Seriously, I feel bad for people that battle depression, though. Having never gone through it, I find it hard to understand even though I know how real it is. My wife graduated a semester before me and struggled with it for several months. I initially wrote it off as the post-college / lifestyle change blues, but learned better.

Unfortunately, there are many people that want to "blame something" rather than just take action to better their situations. It's that group that make a lot of people sour towards the people that are actually suffering.

It was Mountain Dew and dry Captain Crunch Berries for me. I don't think I'll be trying that soon. Man, I miss my 19yr old metabolism. ;)

I agree with this. Not everyone who says they have depression actually has it. I know it's a real thing. It runs in my family. But a lot of people use it as a crutch when they don't even actually have it. Kind of the same with bi-polar disorders.
