yeah I probably haven't been to a Younkers since sometime in college.

Mrs. 00 still seems to want to walk thru there once in a while...I'm forced to either figure out what other store to go to, or mindlessly browse thru the men's section, which is only stocked for short, fat men anymore.

Thanks, man! We're still arguing over who "made" dinner...

I was still coughing too much to want to sit in a restaurant, so I came up with the idea to get prime rib takeout from Texas Roadhouse. He called the order in, I picked it up from the restaurant after bell choir practice & brought it home, he opened the wine. He says that since he called in the order and opened the bottle of wine, HE "made" dinner. I say since it was my idea, and I was the one that picked it up, paid for it & brought it home, I "made" dinner.

Dinner was good though, whoever "made" it! :)

Sometimes you have to work really hard to come up with an excuse for makeup sex.

Hmm, now I feel bad about buying hubby 2 shirts at Younkers earlier this week. He isn't short or fat. ;)

I don't always like to out pics on the kids out there, but just had to brag on our Christmas cards. Thought this group could appreciate them. Sorry for the pic of a pic.

Cyclones clothes were one of the few things I could pull from their closets that matched without having to go buy something. We took quite a few different pics around the Alumni Center which turned out pretty neat (thanks to my free photographer MoreCowbell). Hubby wanted something "recognizable" as Iowa State in the pic. Most of the shots around the building are neat but unless you know the building, you wouldn't know they were taken at Iowa State.

I am constantly amazed by the number of men's shirts that fit great through the torso but have sleeves that are made for a T-rex. Do tailors base all of their measurements by looking at Woodbury?

I must have missed this quote initially.

I agree. Don't they know that there are Naders and McKats in this world.

BTW I have to be pretty careful buying shirts for the same reason.

adorable kids! It looks like the three younger ones have the eyes of one parent, and the oldest the other.

Women of CF. I'm looking to buy a fancy looking clock for my mother for her living room. Probably 18 in in diameter. Where would I look?

DH's problem is that most shirts that are long enough, are so big in the torso that it looks like a garbage bag with sleeves. He's always like don't they think there are tall guys who don't have a 50 inch waist?

I would try the department stores first such as Younkers and JC Penny's. Maybe Kohl's too. Then if they don't have what you want cave to Target and Walmart. You could also see if there is a specialty store near you.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh. Like a wall clock or standing fancy thing? Bed Bath and Beyond would be my start. And get the 10% coupon thing.

think the one we have was a gift from Kohl's, IIRC. Be nice to take it out of its box and hang it up next summer.

I heard a rumor this morning that Hu Hot might come to Ames.... I don't buy it. Would be wonderful though. Ankeny is sooo far away

Thought maybe Penny's or Kohls would. Was also recommended to look at Hobby Lobby
