Walking Dead

Haven't loved Season 5 yet but I will definitely give it the 2nd half to redeem itself.

I wonder if the hospital cops will realize that Rick killed the 3rd one and then come after the group.

I don't think so. First, they know what Rick's group is capable of. Second, they know Rick's group was ready to go to war over what happened to Beth, whereas they weren't willing to go to war over Dawn. Plus, the other two officers were willing to let Bob's death go just to survive - those two officers probably take that secret to their grave - and if they don't, Rick's group is long gone by then.

I honestly think this story arc is dead.

Thought it was great. Beth was a useless character until this season when they needed to make her interesting in order to make anyone care. She went out like a boss. Time to move on.

Am I the only one who was rooting for that to happen to Beth?

But like some of you, a few lezbo scenes with Dawn first would've been nice.

They could have had the highest TV ratings for the month (on the encore presentation, once word got out of some Dawn-Beth action). Missed opportunities...

I'll miss her singing. And her nice @$$... Mostly her @$$.

Booooo

If Rick hadn't killed that officer, maybe it could've been a 3 person trade. Noah, Beth, Carol for the officers.

What choice did Rick have? He told Officer Bob to stop running, and yet he kept running to the hospital. It was either put him down or the whole thing blows up. Any idea of trading 3 officers died when Sasha allowed herself to be manipulated by Officer Bob, which led to his escape in the first place.

Besides, Officer Dawn was a psychopath - she wasn't letting Noah go regardless. The real trade was Noah for Beth, just so she could get the last word in over Beth.

The real issue was Beth. She got herself killed. What did she expect to happen when she attacked Dawn? Luckily it didn't become a full blown gunfight. Lesson learned: don't bring scissors to a gunfight.

Also, don't stab in shoulder. Maybe go for the eye, temple, or the neck area.

Looks like Maggie will be the mid-season finale death next year. Last season it was Herschel, this season it was Beth, Maggie is the only farm family member left.

Was hard to feel much for Maggie when she didn't even remember she had a sister until she found out they went to get her. Too obsessed with finding Glenn. However, when Daryl cried, I got teary eyed too. He knew just how far Beth had come. And obviously her last few weeks had not been great with the cuts on her face and her cast on her arm.

So I didn't catch it but did Noah stay with the hospital group after Rick said "anyone who wants to come with us, come now"? Or did he go with Rick's group? I thought he did a good job in the few episodes he was in and would like to see more of his character.

Yep it looked like he was the only one to go with.

He left with Rick's group. I saw him coming out of the hospital and also saw him in the previews for the second half of the season. I'm kind of surprised that no one else left the hospital, but then again, it seems safer than being out on the road.

I thought the pacing in this episode was lousy. It was like they crammed two weeks into one and just left out scenes.
I liked the opening and thought that it was a sign of things to come but that ended up being the high point.
Didn't like seeing Beth go, but no one is safe on this show. Daryl's reaction was the best of all of them.

I kinda agree with the first part. I was hoping they would show the cop radioing to Dawn and explaining the whole situation. They went straight from capturing to entering the hospital.

Just spitballing after some time to think, what are the chances Rick loses his **** and goes full dictator again? They went with Tyrese's plan over his and 1) it almost blew up when Lamson (?) escaped and 2) Beth got killed.

Doubt they would revert him back to that point, but I could see them going that angle for a while to add some "drama" back into the group.

Would have been even cooler to have Rick call Dawn directly on one of the captured officer's radio, especially after she was so upset about not reaching them. I kept waiting for Rick's voice to come over the radio and freak Dawn out while Beth would knw captain bad *** was on the way.

Show is still pretty damn good, but other than the Eugene story, I did not like the Grady Hospital story much, and simply cannot wait for Gabriel to get it. Tyrease too. Both are becoming such whiny characters.

The whole hospital thing was just odd. How many freaking officers were there, wearing pressed uniforms, etc? Just seemed kind of stupid, and Dawn was a weak antagonist compared to the Governor or Gareth.
