Jameel McKay has some Kenneth Faried in him. And it's more than the hair. It's the motor.

Hogue rebounds and makes shots. Don't think he is the low post threat Ej was. Body not big enough.

@ISUMayor32 getting a lot of time and score at the end of each scrimmage session.

Good sign for @CycloneMBB every time Matt Thomas shoots it you expect it to go in.

@GeorgesNiang20 is so versatile. Shoots passes uses his body can drive it from the trail spot high IQ.

As I said in the Jon Rothstein tweets from practice thread - Kenneth Faried is a much MUCH better comp for McKay than Demare Carroll

college basketball media has come a long ways. remember the infamous Vitale/Orr video "you guys, you don't even have to come to practice, you just make stuff up" line from Orr?

now we have rothstein, greenberg, frashcilla, miles simon, bilas, etc. really good coverage now from guys who do their homework by watching practices in person.

Hogue is the same size as Ejim. How can he not be the same low post threat based on "body not big enough"? (Arguably I'd say he's more of a low post threat based on his motor but that's neither here nor there)

Hogue is a pretty big guy, surprised by this comment. Maybe he isn't as good a finishing at ME was, but was ME that much bigger than Hogue?

Always good to have some positive publicity, especially from somebody like Greenberg.

I've always envied these guys like Greenberg, Frashcilla, and Rothstein that get paid a crap ton of money to just go around and watch basketball pretty much year round. That's the life right there.

I have a good feeling about Matt this year. An off season with Hoiberg and a more clearly defined role this year... I think he's going to be a big surprise.

I (and many others) argued vociferously through the beginning of the season that Thomas would start every game in his career.

now I don't think he'll start a single game this year. I think he'll play ~15 minutes per game with one goal: spread the floor. A little confidence and he'll be awesome in that role.

Hogue dominated UCONN in the post and off the dribble. Comparing anyone to Ejim is hard but Hogue is pretty darn close.
