We have that money now, but we won't keep getting that Big12 money if we aren't in the Big12...

"Less" is not a negative in the way you think it is. "Could not care less" doesn't mean "could care more." It means you are at the absolute minimum of caring... i.e. you could not care any less.

This is the correct way to phrase that sentiment.
 
I honestly think our best chance to move conferences is to win the ship or AT LEAST make the Final Four this year in basketball. It's going to gain a ton of attention and leagues want teams that can draw a lot of attention from the media because it leads to more money. If our basketball team has an insane year (which I think we can) then maybe a power conference will come knocking on our door to lure us away from the Big Texas, I mean Big 12.

I disagree. Making 1 final four or national championship isn't going to do anything. This is all football driven. UConn has 100x the basketball tradition and they have been left out.

All of the conference realignment also happened right after the Jim Calhoun scandal so I can see why nobody would've wanted them. UConn also doesn't have a fanbase that shows up for football games like ours.

I got a better idea...
Why don't we just stay put in the Big-12... get better... And kick the livin' **** out of every opponent we face!
And make OTHER teams leave the Conference.
