No Chance - The Big 12 is our home. They are our family, like any family there are disagreements. In the end there is no realistic option or place for us.
If they extend that branch, I say we take it. We could actually compete in that league in football and be a perennial powerhouse in bball.
Yes.If you have any hope at all, you're delusional. May as well hope for the AFC Central.
Lol perennial powerhouse in basketball?
Yes.In their first three years Nebraska has won/lost at basically the same clip in the B1G as they did in their last three years in the Big 12. And that's with the B1G overall at a pretty historic low as a conference in football. Do you really think ISU would come in and all of a sudden win at a much higher rate when the Huskers haven't been able to?

It's pretty much where we belong geographically, culturally, academically, and athletically. But we offer nothing that they don't already have.
What agrarian connection does Iowa have? Besides a sticker on their helmetYes.
Now, Iowa getting the boot as the BIG continues to shed its agrarian roots? Hmm...
Lets see we beat your regular season Champion Michigan Wolverines and beat your overall champion every year the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Yes.
Imo it is nationally known, besides to BIG homers, that the BIG caught NU in a tail-spin and provided a soft landing. As bad as the BIG has been the past several years, do you really think NU would have won as much in the past three years if they had been in Big 12? Let me guess, you had MU and A$M immediately taking a dip in the SEC?
Suh...I guess we'll just disagree. In 2008 NU was 9-4 and co-champs of the North Division. In 2009 they were 10-4, finished #14 and lost to #3 Texas in the Big 12 title game by 1. In 2010 they were 10-4, finished #20 and lost to OU by 3 in the conference title game. If that's NU in a tailspin it's still light years ahead of where ISU football is. To think that even though that NU program couldn't come into the B1G and tear it up, but that ISU would, again, we disagree.
And what was A$M's record the year before they played in the SEC? As much as I hate to admit, the Big 12 is not that much better than the SEC.I guess we'll just disagree.
