Anybody know if Ankeny plans to add a new movie theater as part of "The District"? Springwood is too small and junky for how big Ankeny has gotten.

The original plans for that area did include a movie theater but I think a lot of those plans got scrapped in 2008 when the economy tanked. Would also be great if a Family Video would open up in Ankeny. Pretty sad that all we have are red boxes.

This is a bit different ownership group than the standard Full Court Press places (Bait Shop, High Life, Royal Mile, etc.)....at least from my understanding. Agree that "the guys" wouldn't most likely expand outside of Des Moines...let alone downtown.

Pretty lukewarm on this. Sometimes expansion seem to hurt unique, local restaurants in the long run. Hope it doesn't happen in this instance because Fong's rocks!
