Wait Manhattan people at K state called that the "little apple" who calls ames that? Since iowa state wasn't a big enough draw to get us a 1pm or 3pm time start, we will be showing up at 6am winning and leaving. Sorry. When you hear the "we got oil" chants, that'll be me!!

I'm glad Richardson is starting. Isnt Grant more of a running QB?

He wasn't referring to Ames as little apple. Stating after the Biso leave town with their tails between legs you can all forget the game happened and go back to KSU win as battle cry in typical. I will admit though it wasn't worded the clearest.

And ISU is not the limiting draw here. ISU is the only reason this game is on TV to begin with. But continue living in cloud cuckoo land, it must be a hell of a place.

"We got corn/ethanol!" "And it's renewable!"

LB likes to tout the oil. However I know many in Ag that live in North Dakota and South Dakota. The congestion that oil is having on the rail system is killing grain prices in the Dakotas because they can't secure rail space. They are having to haul by truck to places as far away as Blair. The basis in North Dakota is more than 3x then what we have right now due to oil rail congestion. They got oil but they are killing their farm economy. Reports are also showing that people who run cow/calf herds close to oil fields are seeing their fertility rates drop from around 80-85% to 50% due to stressed cattle from around the clock oil field activity.

There are people making money off oil. But there are many that don't live within 100 miles of an oil field that are suffering serious negative economic impacts because of it.

Why wasn't the vaunted ndsu dynasty big enough draw to get those start times?!

g2? Ah good, I can't wait to see you acting like a ******* next to the student lot.

NDSU was the draw to even get this on national tv, since last years NDSU v Big 12 game on Fox sports 1 got such great ratings.

oh well, maybe next year you guys can move up out of that 11am slot. Im thinking a 7-5 year for ISU after the opening game loss. you will figure it out and look forward to cheering for you in the future.

You guys don't have a demand for your games. The FCS championship has less than half the viewers of the worst FBS bowl games.

No. Sam is the better running QB.

Didn't I see he was 3rd leading rusher last year and had a string of over 80 yards a game. Also I thought I saw he is about to enter the top 10 in passing at ISU? Is that true? If so then he must be doing something right and coaches can trust him. If not for foot last year he starts all season.

My God, there is no way you are this dumb....
You realize your FCS NATIONAL TITLE game had less viewers than our Liberty Bowl game, right?

Honestly:
How many times has NDSU been on ESPN/2/U/ABC/CBS/FOX/FS1 for a football game when it doesnt include the playoffs or your opponent is a FBS school?

I seriously love your posts. I love that you have the half serious / half smartass thing down, and it really pisses off some people on here and it gets their panties in a bunch. It cracks me up.

Lakes, if I hadn't just had twins and still had my ISU tix, you would've been welcome to some shots at my tailgate.

So before this gets taken way out of perspective I want to put in a disclaimer! haha I am a realistic college football fan. I understand the FCS title game doesn't get watched by a ton. But it's on. So that's good. I love ESPN3 online. I get a heavy dose of FCS games that I get to watch top teams each week and some of those are better then what's on my local tv. I am NOT going to say that it is only on because of NDSU. Nor do I believe that NDSU didn't play a small portion of why it's national.

Question 1. Was the game vs UNI last year national or a local game on tv in state? I don't know.
2. I guess I also don't know who Big 12 has tv contract with. Is it fox?
and 3. Don't you honestly think just looking at that game as opener that the avg fan, take out NDSU and ISU fans, I am talking people look at FS1 football opener and don't think NDSU had a little or maybe half of the % of why that game is natonial?

Most fans are likely asking who is NDSU?

If we weren't playing NDSU in the opener and were playing another FBS team, it probably would've been a more featured timeslot. I know LB is just trolling, but you guys are on TV because of the Big 12 tv package (as are we). It has nothing to do with NDSU.

NDSU was on espn 2 twice last year, fox sports 1 once and ESPN gameday for 3 hours & 2 Big dance basketball games on TBS/CBS that was all within 5-6 months.

Hey TZJUNG. Hell ya homey. Respect with the newborns and I'll have 2 shots of fireball for them!

I stop posting on BV 2 weeks ago.

Read up on tv contracts for the big xii this year, Ndsu has zero effect on the start time.

I'm assuming those were regular season games and weren't against FBS teams and not in the playoffs, correct?

How many times were you guys on espn2 or espn or fox sports 1 last year? I actually have no idea just wondering.

Also, this whole time argument is stupid- NDSU would not be on FS1 if they weren't playing iowa state or a big 12 school, but Iowa state would not be on FS1 if they were playing a different fcs team- UNI or another FBS non conference game, like Toledo. the 11 am Sat start vs 7 pm Friday night prime time reflects NDSU > Northern Iowa, Kansas St > Iowa State. That's it. Not NDSU > Iowa St.
