ISU 34 NDSU 17. 3 points shy of "getting smoked" in 2009. 20 points seems very arbitrary.
So how does a game 5 years ago have anything to do with this year? You should take a look at Iowa State's football tradition as compared to NDSU's. And the fact that the Bison are not intimidated when playing FBS teams. I am a bit concerned about all the changes on NDSU's offensive line, but I think the D line will be OK. I believe NDSU's new starting QB will surprise many, including Bison fans, at how well he will do taking over. He has had 3 years of learning the system, has a better arm than Brock Jensen, and is even bigger and faster.

If he DOES have a better arm, IS bigger, and IS faster than Brock Jensen, why did he sit on the bench? If you're bigger, faster, and stronger than another QB on your team, there's a very big chance you will see a lot of snaps. I think some NDSU fans have their blinders on about this guy.

You should read the whole thread before posting so you know what you're responding to.

Because they valued Jensen's leadership of course.

Or they are just being fans and hoping he's better so they can have a good season.

It doesn't. And the game you played against K-State last year has nothing to do with this year. Your QB may have had 3 years learning the system, but we have 2 QB's who have actually started games and have experience. You lost 4/5 of your offensive line. And your 2 starting DT's.......we actually return our NG who has been beaten out by an underclassman. And return an Honorable Mention All Big 12 DE. So I really don't see how you can think you are in better shape than us on the DL.

It should be a good game. Don't be intimidated by the 100,000 people that will show up tailgating before the game.

If you guys are going to reference the past... lets reference it all .

I am guessing context of a discussion is clearly a foreign concept to you; considering you started talking to me about Biso players like I cared or asked for the information only furthers that thought. Thanks though for playing the "Back up QB was better than the regular QB" card. Makes it a lot easier to know the intelligence level of the person I am dealing with.

And oh man... I did take a look at ISU's football tradition... I never realized it was that bad; thank you for pointing that out. And yet here you are... so desperate for recognition that you are trying to puff out your chests to "lowly" Iowa State. You know that same lowly Iowa State who you have never beaten...

You can keep your slap ****, lower level titles, I will take being a part of a BCS conference.

I guess if I am going to be envious of low level programs I would probably be more envious of Wisconsin Whitewater, Mount Union and Grand View than you guys.

No, NDSU 50 plus years of winning tradition.........as compared to whatever you want to call it at ISU.......losing, pathetic, mediocre, doormat, etc.
And yet, they still lost to pathetic ISU. And according to Lakes, was just a field goal away from getting smoked by that pathetic team. Ouch, that must really suck. To think such a winning program with so much tradition almost got smoked by a pathetic, doormat of a team.

You guys should realize BigBison is just a squawk troll. NDSU fans don't refer to us as "Clowns" or beat the "tradition" drum. Just an insecure loser stuck in his parents basement with nothing better to do.

yet all your "tradition" lost to that...
Yep, 2009 was one of only 2 or 3 seasons that NDSU was below .500 for winning percentage since 1964. As for the QB comment, I really feel good about this "backup" for NDSU. Compared to a few QB replacements over the past dozen years this one has some real potential, but you never know. 2008 and 2009 were difficult years with much lack of QB depth at NDSU. Hey, I am not a troll and I do know a bit about NDSU's football team. Look forward to posting here between now and the game.......and afterwards if that is OK.

If ISU spent the last 50 years in the MVC instead of playing against teams with more money than god, we'd have a bit better record too.

Also, if NDSU has 50+ years of winning tradition and noone outside the state gives a ****, does it still sound like a fart?

I have just been operating under the assumption that they are all trolls and are all insecure losers suck in their parents basement.

That or all of them have the worst case of "little man syndrome" I have ever seen.

Nope, just a Bison fan.........although I shouldn't have used that term and just got a bit carried away in my post......apologies to all. Hope to have some good debate here.
