Finally got to watch. I don't know how he was able to score 29 on top of what he did defensively. Even if he scores 9, he is still the difference maker. That was phenomenal defense against Lebron. Frustrating him into only 12 shot attempts without doubling..what a performance
I'm curious to see how the refs call the game tomorrow. Last night it seemed like the refs were letting both teams play pretty physically. I saw several steals that could easily have been reach in fouls if a crew was calling a tight game.
On a different note, was last night the first time in the series where Lebron ended up guarding Tim Duncan for a couple possessions? It might have been off a switch, but I remember seeing them matched up a couple times. Lebron won both battles, for what it's worth. Could come in handy for Miami if Duncan has another 25 and 8 first half in him like when he just killed Bosh in the first half of game 6 last year.

Duncan can't turn and face him. He took the ball 3 times in three tries. One was an uncalled foul but the other two were just extreme quickness mismatches.
I'm sure Lebron defends wing players well but he creates almost comical mismatches on point guards and slower big men.
Just watched the game this morning. That was a fantastic game if you were rooting for the Spurs, and quite dismal if you were pulling for the Heat. The first 18 minutes were lights out in terms of execution for the Spurs. Just unbelievable ball movement and control of the tempo. I'll put it this way, it will be tough for Miami to stick around with sloppy ball handling and lack of defensive effort. They have to establish a presence much quicker in game 4 on both sides of the ball. Spurs just couldn't miss a shot for awhile there. If they had tightened up on defense and worked for better shots during the 3rd quarter then the game could have been much uglier.
He should have drank his gatorade...I mean powerade. Game was about even when he lecramped up, so your statement is a little more hypothetical than mine. Also there was much less time in the game with the free throws, and it would have put them up 5, with not much time remaining, IIRC.
The Heat were actually up 7 when he started cramping. It was about even when he left for good.
Last night was such a weird game that it's hard to take too much from it. How the game is played changes so much for both teams when the lead is that big. Miami was sloppy on defense early, but that was an all-time shooting display. They didn't miss a shot for 10 mins of game time, that's unbelievable. The Spurs looked gassed in the third and with Belinelli almost out of the rotation, Splitter losing minutes, they're going to be putting a lot of minutes on Duncan and Ginobili if they can actually keep the game close. Miami was getting great looks against the Spurs defense too, Chalmers got several wide open looks he just didn't hit. The pressure's back on Miami, they're going to be the more desperate team tomorrow and I expect them to pull out a win as they know their season is on the line.
The crazy thing is that it's not like Miami shot the ball poorly. They actually hit a higher percentage from three than the Spurs last night. But I do expect the Heat to grind out a win tomorrow night. They rarely drop consecutive games, and with Game 5 in San Antonio it's essentially a must win. Plus you know that all those lifelong hardcore heat fans will have the arena rockin'.

Food poisoning and he only put up 38? Lebron would've dropped fifty and added twelve boards and ten assists just for the hell of it.
Is this the push-off for the series winner or is that game 6?:smile:

2. This seems to me like you think food poisoning is no big deal. I've suffered from it and it's just as ***** a feeling as having the flu.
Anyway onto tonight, again really no need to watch heat by a comfortable margin.
