I sliced my thumb open pretty bad making dinner and don't have any bandaids. So I have a big wad of paper towel secured with duct tape wrapped around it

Love dogs - have always had both dogs & cats. Until here. Not a good place for a dog. 3 acres of woodland. We both work all day, no kids at home. Dog would be indoors all day (not a good thing) or in a pen all day (also not a good thing). All kinds of critters, and insect pests. Wouldn't be fair to a dog.

So, just cats now.

And in Milo's defense, it was accidental.

But it still hurts!

my dad once sliced open a finger tagging a calf - he really should have gone to get stitches, but he put this cream use for when cows cut their teats on a paper towel and wrapped it with electric tape. Rewrapped it every couple days and put more cream/staph whey product on it and made sure to wear gloves while milking. Never got infected, to our amazement. And we saved on hospital bills!

we put together an offer for a house and have til tomorrow to decide whether to pull the trigger. Much anxiety. Buying a house for my birthday? I don't know how to feel about this!

thanks but, um yeah, like how do we know if we're making the right choice!?!?!? I'm hoping rum makes it clear, lol.

I always do my home purchasing with a couple of bracers in me!

Good location? Marketable home? Good rate? Schools? The list goes on and on. I'll drink one in your honor

def yes on 1st and last, I think so on marketable - nothing weird about it, and interest rates have gone from 4.5 to 4.0 in the two months we've been looking so I'm like WE MUST BUY BEFORE THAT GOES AWAY!

It's $15k over our original budget but our agent thinks we can bring that down $5k or so, which is good. We just didn't immediately feel like ZOMG, this is our home! Like everybody says, but it's so great for us and I think a lot of what was off-putting at first are their paint colors and cabin/southwest-esque decor theme. Obviously both SUPER easy to change......considering they're taking all the bear/Indian rugs with them. It feels so comfortable in the house and they have such a nice backyard. Now I'm talking myself into it. I think it's the right choice, it's just TERRIFYING.

I think my husband's biggest thing is now we'll be adults who have to mow a yard!

One more shot of rum and I think you'll be there.

If your cat is named Milo, I believe you're legally obligated to buy a pug and name it Otis.

Milo and his sister Molly already had their names when I picked them out a couple of weeks ago. They were already 8-9 months old, so we decided not to rename them (even though one of our granddaughters is also named Molly). Is there some significance to those name in tandem?

PS: I dislike dogs with smashy faces, they snort, drool and snore...
