We have the potential for a couple of great games. Florida State will be an intriguing opponent, one we will need to be very ready for. Yes, interesting to have Bingley back.

It will be fun to have Stanford in Hilton. Also interesting for Greenfield to play in Hilton.

Let's hope we get a chance to play them. They will be coming with a chip on their shoulder, with South Carolina getting the 1-seed that many thought Stanford would still get.

I hope we can pack Hilton (too bad I'm out of the state) and give appropriate reception. I still remember that that episode didn't leave a good feeling..
Let's beat them and this season will end in a great note.

The WBB Tourney Committee did not want us to match with Stanford right away to give the hometown team a chance to draw a crowd after a first run win.

In all the projected brackets, we were looking at a tough opening opponent that would play a physical game. After that, the possible 2nd round opponent was looking like Louisville or South Carolina. Louisville actually slipped to a 3 seed. South Carolina rose to a 1 seed. So we get Stanford, the best 2 seed. Any would be tough. Other 2 seeds are Baylor and West Virginia. We got swept by both those teams though WVU was during our forgettable stretch. Nonetheless we will have to play at higher level starting with the opening game.

Thanks - FSU is 39. The seeds could easily be reversed. Think of this as an 8-9. This will be a tough game between closely matched teams. I remember their coach Sue Semrau from past tournaments - intense.
