I like the giant check idea someone else came up with in an earlier thread.

A check from the KU athletic dept. with a logo on it, made out to Big 12 Refs, and signed by Bill Self. You could put last years date on it, and could probably get very creative with the memo.

Definitely gotta have this but make it freaking huge so that everyone can read it. If you make it less than around 4 poster boards big it would end up not being able to be seen by anyone outside a few rows away. You could use poster board on top of cardboard box material to give it weight.
