Walking Dead

Predictions for the second half of the season? I'd think the person with the rats at the fence and the very large horde of walkers will play be a source of confict. Anyone else?

I think they will follow up on the radio signal and find a new destination.

I hope Darrel got his chopper out of the prison.

My favorite moment during the standoff was when Rick talked about the members of Mayberry were leaders and on the council after fighting with them..... and seeing the look on the G'vners face. IMO, the best acting moment in the series. Rick scared him to a new level and knew he was the better man, which needed to die.

That whole scene was amazing. The look on Hershel's face when Rick said it was possible to come back from doing horrible things really stuck with me. Especially since he had a sword at his freaking neck.

Disagree. She was killed in the comic book. The writer on Talking Dead last night had a reaction similar to George Lucas when asked about the possible return of Darth Maul: "Um- you saw all the blood, right?"

Since they didn't show a body, I doubt she's dead. Everybody is bloody right now. Almost anyone who grabbed her could have easily gotten blood on the car seat.

Hershel was my fave, so very sad. So sick of the Guv. I think Judith is dead, takes away need for someone to take care of her.

I assume the group will reconnect, Daryl will explain about the radio signal they picked up in the car on their last run, and the group will head there. It will take them the second half of the season to get there. Next season will begin with them in this new location.

As a terribly logical person, here are a few things that are bugging me about this season:
-How the heck was the prison generating power?
-Where the heck are they getting gasoline? They never talk about having to ration gasoline or acquire more. They seem to use it pretty liberally to burn piles and piles of bodies, when a little bit could go a long way.

I felt like that was the death knell for Hershel. He could see that he had helped Rick grow from being a hardened dictator to more of a compassionate leader of survivors. His job was done. Torch passed to Rick on the moral compass. This season has really been a story of Rick's growth from his Rictator speech after the farm was overrun to being a real leader. I think we'll all re-watch on Netflix and think this first half of season four has been very dramatic and really excellent story.

Well now all I can picture is Gomer, Opie, and Aunt Bea vs the zombies.

Yeah, when Hershel smiled you could tell he was happy for the way Rick is finally changing. That was a good moment.

This is a guy you want by your side in the zombie apocalypse.

When I saw the lights in that corridor I thought maybe they had some solar panels and batteries set up like in Woodbury. They lights didn't look like permanent lights, more like something they strung up.

Maybe alcoholic Bob grabbed Judith? He was bloody from that bullet wound. Just a thought. Maybe a chance at redemption?

I thought originally she was dead... why no memorial on the Talking Dead though? Makes me think someone grabbed her out of the seat and took her along.

I'm pretty sure she's dead. She dies in the prison attack in the comic and Kirkman's reaction seemed to point to it as well, although I suppose he could be just setting us up. Also, while I think the show is dark enough to kill off a baby, I doubt they'd show a half eaten baby or show it in the process of being eaten. That's a little too much.

I hope we never have a zombie apocalypse because I'd last about one day. I'd be focusing on all the cool cars I could now drive. I'd drive a new one every day. They are fine vehicles but who would choose a small Hyundai SUV if you had your choice of vehicles?

On a more serious note, I think the island idea is good one but then the show would be more like Gilligan's Island

I don't think the "Judith dies in the comic book" argument holds any water. They've strayed from the comic quite a bit haven't they? It just seems too dark for this show. I guess we have to wait a few months to find out. Man, that sucks just saying that.

I take Kirkman's nod to the idea that Judith died the same way I take Morrissey's comments about the 'reformed' Governor. It's something that you say to mess with fans and lead them one direction. It doesn't mean that the show is headed that way (yet).

I thought about the island idea as well. The issue I could see is that you would have to stock up on supplies in large quantities before hand. Something to survive on while you establish crops and defenses and such. Supply runs become a bit more tricky and treacherous when out that far.
