Josh Cunningham

I wasn't online earlier when this was reported, but I can help provide info. This sequence of posts explains mass deletions pretty well - it works with anything that isn't smart for the site or the fan base (personal attacks, bagging on potential recruits, speculating on players leaving). Mods delete all posts that either make the questionable post or quote it. It's too much work to go into each and edit it.

So you're saying that I've had 40,000 plus smart posts?

I don't have to speculate on player movement, the numbers will work out.

I believe Fred isn't messing around in this situation

Per Roy Schmidt, Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg is in Chicago to see Josh Cunningham on eve of JC's Bradley official visit.

I took Fred out to dinner at The Weiner's Circle while he was in town tonight, Hoiball ordered the Chocolate Shake. Josh had to pay for his own chocolate shake per NCAA rules.

I have a buddy from Chicago that lived just a block from The Weiner's Circle and said there were MULTIPLE mornings he would walk by and workers would be sweeping out dead rats.

NCAA: "Mr. Hoiberg, you are one scholarship over this year. You can't do that or else you'll face punishment."

Hoiberg: "*****, do you know who I am?"

NCAA: "You're right sir, sorry for any disruption, sir."

The fact that McKay is paying his way next semester opposed to taking a scholarship at numerous other places is a testament to how much faith he Has in Fred. Hopefully Cunningham sees it too..... And Vaughn.

Hoiberg will make the numbers work. He's not going to pass a chance to upgrade his roster. The only really safe bets to be here next year are McKay, Nader, Niang, Hogue, Custer, MM and MT. After that I wouldn't bet money on it.

Both will commit here, and someone on the roster will transfer out who isn't getting minutes this year, and knows they will be even harder to get next year.

Take it to the bank, Vaughn and Cunningham will be Cyclones.

I think Vaughn will be a Cyclone, but I don't think Cunningham will be.

When guys leave, our APR rating goes down and it's already low enough that our coaches have to be careful.

Doesn't seem to affect Duke, UNC, or KU when guys transfer out of there. I'd love it if fred could bring us up to their level (mind you he'd have to stay here and keep up his current pace for the next decade or 2 for us to even come close). It sucks to see guys leave absolutely, but if it's bringing up the talent level, and if they are leaving for more minutes themselves so be it. C'est la vie.

The funny thing about people getting uptight the scholarship situation now is knowing Fred he'll sign RV and JC plus find a transfer in the offseason and he'll still make it work.

I do too. Once a Cyclone, always a Cyclone. But it is a reality, and I can't blame a guy for going where he can get more playing time, nor the coach for doing what he can to improve the program.
Except for Haluska, right? I don't consider that dbag a Cyclone. He doesn't deserve to be called one.
