*** Official ISU vs Baylor Gameday Thread ***

Messingham is a horrible coach. Isn't that obvious by now?

Exactly why I was expecting Rohach to come in, play lights out, only to have our coaches really get their hands on him and make him terrible. If this trend of regression holds, by year 3 every Rohach snap he will simply drop the ball a la Brad Banks.

For the record, I think AA was able to overcome this coaching staff and merely stagnate.

The Baylor coach is clearly a bbag for running up the score. But we deserve worse for the way we're playing.

I totally disagree. They are running the clock down every time, they run up the middle and we can't stop it. He has the scrubs in there, and we still can't stop it.

BU pulled their starting QB just into the 4th qtr. How can you accuse Baylor of running up the score when they only tried with their best players for 75% of the game?

BU plays the way they do because thats exactly how they are built, how they are coached, how they practice, etc...

I have no hard feelings towards BU in the regard at all. All we have to do is stop them. Our guys are on scholarship too.

Agreed. That was their 2nd string O running over our mostly 1st team D.

I gave up at the end of the 1st quarter and started watching porn on the internet. At least someone "scores"!

Coaching. Or lack thereof, more specifically.

Actually lack of coaching seems to be superior to having our staff coach our QBs. Barnett and Richardson didn't probably get all that much coaching buried in the depth chart, yet they come in and light it up in their first games. Then they start getting some coaching running with the 1s and they regress.

Firing a bunch of coaches won't solve every problem....I think some people over-estimate the talent level on this team.
